Name: Ax
Gender: Male
Appearance (include eye/skin/hair colour): Ax is medium height, thin. He’s pale-skinned, with blue eyes and brown hair. Boring. He has a cheeky, mischievous smile though, and it lights up his freckled face. Ax looks really, really young, and nothing like the hand to hand fighter he is. Ax wears a black tunic with black breeches (tunic as a short-sleeved thing like a dress with no sides at the bottom) and black gaiters. He really digs the black scene.
Age: 18
Personality: Ax is independent, rough. Hates to have to look down on anything or anyone, but doesn’t like being judged himself either. He relies on nothing, no-one. Used to having to work to get what he wants, and he makes full use of his skills, Ax isn’t exactly one that is used to wealth. He is kind though, but occasionally his evil streak comes out and he is literally an animal, reduced to a pile of smouldering ashes in his head.
History: Ax led a sheltered life, in a village far from any others and they struggled along to survive, the children all helping each other in farming. When Ax was born with fire mastery instead of the usual earth, he was outcasted, (not officially,) from the rest. He spent his early days aquainting himself with the forest and the world around the village, rather than helping his father and mother and brother. He found a orphaned fennec fox one day that had obviously been stolen and dropped, and the fox, Eksis became his familar. Eksis restored sanity to the wandering Ax, wo started to train himself in fighting instead of farming. When he turned ten he found a man who also trained himself, and Ax apprenticed himself to him. Eksis apprenticed himself to the man's familar. They spent eight years training together, and Ax managed to hone his fire skills. As he left to journey, the fennec fox Eksis was stolen by somebody and was pulled so far out of range from Ax that it doesn't even hurt.
Sample post:

Staring at the sun hurts your eyes. Seriously. The ball of gas and fire was completely suspicious the boy in black, who's hands were flaming as he stared at the sun. He wanted it to come down so he could cover himself in fire and be protected from the head to start plunging into the mysteries of the sun. He didn't know it was like ten times the size of the planet he was on. The sky around him was blue and cloudless; the kind of day you would don light clothes, not completely black clothes. Ax had no such preference. Being a master of fire required a tolerance of heat, other wise there was really no point in being able to control fire. His heart twanged as he thought of Eksis, but he didn't allow himself to dwell. He found find the little fennec fox one day, and that's all he could say.

Ax had finished training for today, and sweat was dripping off him in the bucketload. He didn't stop though, and as soon as he had executed the last round house kick he started off at a run randomly. He hadn't finished exploring here yet, this place that was surrounded in little ponds. Leaping nimbly from little island to little island, Ax grinned. This was the kind of day he loved, with the heat making it unbearable to do anything yet somehow this scrawny boy could continue. He stopped to stretch for a second, then carried on as normal.

Landing carefully on the otherside of the rive-pond thing, Ax turned back to look at what he had covered, sighing. He would have to chose a place to live soon, as unappealing as that sounded. He wasn't one to float along without any friends or the likes to support him, or for him to fall back on. With Eksis and his master, it had been different. But not now. No, he was alone apart from the fire that burned in his soul and eyes. His brown hair lost the hold it had and fell in a mop on his face, causing him to laugh suddenly and quickly, a light pealing sound. He stretched again, and looked up at the sun, some little fire strands floating above his head. Life sucks without you, Eksis. It really does. Ax though quickly, before returning to the world.

He thumped himself down on the ground beside the water, and trailed his hand in the liquid. It was clear, and the small bubbles that appeared on his hand only to sizzle away as Ax tried to heat the small patch of water he had amused him. The boy flashed a smile at the water, and he couldn't stop himself smiling after he started. The water started to boil, and as he withdrew his hand it dried quickly and then burst into flame. To this day, Ax couldn't get over being able to create and control fire around his body from a small patch of energy that he had stored away.

A bird called somehwhere in the sky above him and he smiled again, watching it's flight path and the steady beats of the wings. A natural leader he could tell, from the posture that the bird carried, Ax thought. I could always lead my own land, I suppose. But then...when it fails, it becomes harder to take inside. The dent on your pride is more than it would be on anothers. I'll just join a land without many people...Yeah, that would suit my lifestyle perfectly, the hermit-like stance I take sometimes. And then I could aid that leader to the best of my abilties, be it by being a soldier, guard or a part of whatever ranking he holds, I suppose. Or she. Must not forget that girls can rule as well... Ax had came from a world where the village was ruled by one Ranger and his Scouts who watched from a tower, but not used to equal rights.

The bow was still sitting down, and he retrieved a small, squashed piece of cheese from his pocket. His food supplies were dwindling, and after a month of travelling the cheese and a bit of small bread stuffed into his pocket were all that was left. He had ripped his pack and been forced to drop it and carry the last few bits and pieces either in his pocket or in his hands. At least for Ax, if he found something he had to cook, it could be done quickly and easily without much mess or the likes. But he usually ate berries or something from the forest. They could be found with ease (for he had been taught how to scavenge and find food in the forest when times were hard as a child) for Ax, and so he never went hungry, unless he deliberate starved himself.

Leaning out over the water, he stared at his expression, gauging his look in the relfection. It seemed harsher than usual, as if the life he used to know had been completely taken out of the young warrior. At least, I have not killed in war, yet. Yet. Ax knew murder could make or break a man, and that a lot of soldiers couldn't take the pressure from war or skirmishes he was sent to and no matter how they dealt with it afterwards, they went crazy and turned tail to the woods of committed suicide. Ax had thought of that many times before; committing suicide. The idea made him curious him, and when he was first outcasted from his village at five, it was a constant thought lurking at the back of his mind, even though he tried to quash it.

Stuffing the last of the cheese into his mouth, he washed it down with a drink of water from the river. He didn't know if it was pure or not, and he didn't feel like heating it up to rid it of any bugs. So he just drank it as it was, and to hell with an consquences. Ax smiled. That was how he should be living at 18, not caring about much until he had to settle down. The responsibilties he carried, the responsibilties of an adult, should not be his until much later. But he had no choice, and he had chosen the path with information. He hadn't left the care of an adult without plans and knowledge. He wasn't stupid enough for that.

Ax finished looking at himself and allowed a second for the food to go down before standing and starting to walk again. He held a leaping, graceful gait, like a noble, despite his heritage. Ax had always aspired to be a scholar, a writer of some sort. But being a fighter had helped him realise what he actually wanted to do; anything was better than breaking loam for a living and just scraping by. No, as soon as he could he would buy some writing materials or borrow some, read some books and just randomly start writing about a subject that he liked. That seemed fair. And if he managed to finish it, he would give that one copy away to someone.

As he bounced along, he enjoyed the slight breeze that wafted over his pale yet tanning skin, and he was oblivious to the fact he was tanning on his arms (which were exposed) because since he had fire burning inside him, he didn't know was happening. He was barely even hot, but the small stream he followed now made him very hungry to just jump in and enjoy the cool waters. Ax tilted his head as the bird came back, and made a call. He knew what it wanted now, and as he sped off, the eagle held back slightly before dragging up the distance put between them
