Soloughvein Downs

Several miles north of town is a stretch of lowlands that border the edge of Requiem River. Filled with mainly Swamp Oaks and Silver Maples, this area is avoided by Atroe City’s ‘upperclass’. With an understaffed police force, the area isn’t heavily monitored by the authorities. And with deeply-rutted mud roads, trucks are about the only vehicles that can successfully navigate this dismal terrain.

The white male felt her gaze, a sly grin presented on his thick white muzzle. The brute was thick, being one from Incalia, his body screamed strength. Here was the moment now, all the others began to melt away from his conscious mind. Leaving everyone but Black blurred from his concentration. Bright yellow eyes flicked in her direction, noticing she was now playing the same game he had started. With a soft scoff he laid his head down on the ground. Heaving deeply and presenting a rather raspy sigh. Enough for Rayne to glance in his direction, the others too noticed Ghoul's strange behavior, but none paid mind long enough to notice he was ultimately trying to grab Black's attention.

Being a part of the Haunters, Ghoul wasn't allowed to have a mate. He didn't even know how to court correctly, he just let instinct take control. However, there was doubt lingering in his mind. Rayne would be just the same ruler as Risen, there would be no mates in the Wraiths, unless their relationship was secretive.

Now the white brute, speckled a multitude of colors, stared at the female, trying to catch her glance. However, if she were to turn, he would not lock gazes. He knew better than to challenge when not needed, especially in an allied pack.

Temptation watched Ghoul and snickered to herself, then caught the intention of Crucifix. A small sneer appeared before she turned away and trotted away from the group. She was celibate, and would remain that way; reproduction was not on her mind, and the thought of mothering pups disgusted her.
