Any desire to find out why Conan was here and what was going on with that easily took a backseat to tending to Cassidy. It was bothersome enough that he hadn't been able to quickly stop her terror and clam her when she first woke up, and seeing her tears continue on for several minutes afterwords was more than enough reason to keep him planted in his seat, and staying loyally at her side. Inserting a bit of wry humor, though he truly didn't feel at all like laughing or being jovial at this time, Lanny made a lighter remark to her comment about hormones. In the back of his mind, he was thinking that he'd have more to talk with Dr. Marachek about than Conan's condition. He was bothered enough by the severity of Cassidy's nightmares to speak to her about it - not to give away details, or dare to bring it up while the new mother was around to hear - but one on one with the doctor, he'd reached a point where he realized he wasn't able to handle this on his own.
