She darted him a glance. "Hey - I'm the one who has to be in a wheelchair forever when I can walk perfectly fine already. So you better be prepared to be humiliated, and entertaining." As much as it was a joke, this was her reluctant agreement that she would consent to the wheelchair - only because she'd promised Lanny that she'd be careful and take it easy for a while. She carefully did not react to his mention of a house, taking the moment to pull the bottle from Raine's mouth, which made her fuss a bit but prevented her from guzzling as she was doing. "Yeah, yeah - you cry now, but if I don't take it, you'll really hate the indigestion later," she told her daughter, waiting a few moments as the infant whined and fussed before she returned the bottle into the baby's reach, and spoke quietly to Lanny, now that she'd had a moment to collect her thoughts. "Finding a house that we can afford in two days or less is going to be a challenge," she murmured, proving that she wasn't adverse to the idea, but that she saw the financial bit as a significant problem. They didn't live in the apartments because they chose to, after all... they did it because they couldn't afford anything else. Although, if they pooled all of their funds, they just might be able to make rent or mortgage on a small house, if they were very frugal.
(eh it doesn't make too much difference - i usually work 5:45-10 on sundays, so neither one of those is really a good rp day, lol. and tomorrow is going to be kooky too - i only have my class 10:00-10:50, but after that, i have to drive to dad's house to meet my stepmother, who's going to let me into the house and write a check for me, because i'm taking Tammy to the vet tomorrow at 2:30. but i'm meeting my stepmother at the house at around noon, so from 12:30 or so to about 2:15, we can rp. though by the time we get done, you'll probably be at work
