[ I wasn't sure her androgyny would be OK - I play it elsewhere and the androgyny is pretty fundamental for this character and such - if it isn't OK, could I use the coin to get it and then I'll get the familiar later? I wasn't sure about the twin either - Räendel does have a twin, but I don't play it, never did, and the twin's player is not exactly around so... I wanted to leave it open in case she joins us later on :p ]

You tossed a blanket from the bed
You lay upon your back, and waited;
You dozed, and watched the night revealing
The thousand sordid images
Of which your soul was constituted;
They flickered against the ceiling.

Name -- Räendel

Gender -- technically none (see defects)

Appearance --
Räendel is slender. Räendel is also androgynous: neither male nor female. In the right light, or right clothes, Räendel can be anything - an effeminate boy or a muscular, boyish, flat-chested girl. Because of this Räendel also looks of indeterminate age - it's not that it doesn't age (of course it does), but it just doesn't show it the way male/females do individually, which can be confusing at times. Räendel's hair is cut short, framing its face down to the chin, slightly wavy - a dusty auburn color, closer to the color of wine. Its skin is lightly tanned and its eyes are a rich violet color. Räendel is not traditionally beautiful - being neither male nor female - and this sometimes can be a source for much teasing and harassment. Räendel's voice is as genderless as its body and it is a fine singer - even if it sounds a bit like a castratto.

Defects --
Andrognyous. Räendel was born genderless; the specifics of its disease are unknown to the fairies but what it means is this: Räendel cannot mother (or for what matters, father) children. It is sterile; it doesn't have the same physical cycles of females and it is physically nondescript - looking neither male or female. "Down there", it is structurally female (if you catch my drift). Because of its natural characteristics, Räendel does not identify as 'he' or 'she', but as an 'it'.

Age -- twenty-somethings; around twenty-five.

Personality --
Räendel is active. It cannot keep still, it always needs to do something - as urgently as possible and preferarbly physically. Räendel has a temper and it likes fighting and brawls (maybe it's the boyish side). Because it is always doing things with its hands and body, others often think Räendel is stupid - all brawn and no brains. That is, of course, a lie - it has a keen mind, when it wants to. It's just that it doesn't want too often. It's too much trouble.

Räendel keeps to itself. Räendel is also surprisingly social - but it has few friends. Räendel isn't very much in touch with its feelings and neither likes opening up to others; it'll talk and make merry and socialize to its heart's content without ever revealing too much about itself. It's just how Räendel is.

History --
Nobody really knows what happened to Räendel. It's a known fact that it hates its father. It's also a known fact it loves its mother. Räendel has a twin, Isyeye, which is as undefined and androgynous as it is. The whereabouts of this twin remain unknown. Räendel doesn't like talking about Isyeye, neither does it like talking about its parents. It's suspected that Räendel's need for physicality and short temper are results of a traumatic past, but Räendel just says they're trying to browbeat it into a stereotype and promptly kicks whoever's suggesting it, so it might not be.

And when all the world came back
And the light crept up between the shutters
And you heard the sparrows in the gutters,
You had such a vision of the street
As the street hardly understands;
