During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

When a mock snarl crossed the brute’s maw I let my hackles dance to life, muzzle still creased with the same threat as before. I did not otherwise flinch as he mimicked my façade nor did I shrink back when he spoke, I drew closer in fact. His banner rose a little higher then what I would have liked but I didn’t make a move to rip it off his frame, instead I let a long dark chuckle drop like venom from my open chasm in a tone that some could class as sarcasm. I let my tulips twist backward on a lean, showing I was otherwise not interested in what he had to say. Did I offend the poor boy? Oh dear! I sure didn’t give two shits.

It took him a while to answer my question, and when he did I grinned. What followed the answer in the same breath did not please me though, when a wolf was showing dominance in a pack they did not need to answer petty questions, yes? I snapped my jaws and growled down at him,

‘I am brother to Paranoia. We both own this pack.’

The wolf who lay on the ground before me now had attitude, and although I detested it I knew he had some courage to question me as he had; possibly he was just worth accepting into the pack.

‘Answer my question before you get up.. What makes you worth taking into our pack?’

Overall I was a fair brujo once you got past my tense, violent exterior. It was not just a show or some kind of dance though, it was just who I was raised to be. One thing I did notice though was how he held himself confident, and he should have been sure to drop into full submittal by the time the last word of his thought out answer left those jaws of his. Not that I was trying to, you know, threaten the brujo or anything but he would ultimately end up much better off if he placed himself fully on the ground before I did it for him.

Yes, now I know it may seem I am one with an attitude that no one will like. That is true, but that is why I was here. If this wolf was to be as confident as his posture showed him to be then I was sure he would answer my question to try and prove himself,

‘By the way, I’m Angel.’

Okay so now I was ready to give him a chance.
