During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Kong felt the shift in the maiden's position as she sat, taking it to be a sign of patience, of her waiting politely for his next words. He wanted to look back at her, really, he was just trying to clear his thoughts and windows before gracing her with his gaze again. Its not that he felt his past was a secret he had to hide from the fatale, in actuality he already felt very calm and open with her, a good sign for an alpha, making your members feel humble and open to tell you anything. He just didn't want her to know all his flaws and regrets so early in meeting him. He knew he'd be welcomed into the pack nontheless, but it was a matter of timing. And now just didn't seem the right time ot let her in. Not yet.

Nares picked up the scents of two wolves a little after she did, as Kong saw a slight reaction in the bruja and raised his senses a little more, curious as to know what had caused it. In a glance, he saw her eyes spark a little, like she knew one of the scents. Small smile appeared upon his facades. It must be her brother. Kong was curious to meet this character, if simply out of his own curiosity. He wanted to see if they looked alike any. If he was a male not much bigger than her or maybe even a male of his size. Not that he'd ever test Angel's strength or anything. No, Kong couldn't bring himself to provoke anyone related to or loved by this femme before him. He was already drawn in too deep. She already had him on a hook and he was pretty sure she knew it.

The quiet was peaceful, two wolves just sharing space and casual conversation, no motives or objectives behind it. Kong was in no hurry to meet Angel, as he was sure the mood would change drastically, as she'd already warned him that her brother had a dislike for other males. He was sure there'd be a test involved and he certianly wouldn't want to fail it, not with Paranoia watching. Right now he wasn't in the mood for a test. Right now was the gentle easy mood of talking, getting to know each other. Harks of ash tipped toward the brutale as she spoke of the territory, smile spreading upon his velvets. She already loved this land, that much Kong could tell by her words. Words of praise and affection for this little piece of land. He liked hearing it.

When alphas barely spoke of their lands, or as expendable, it always brought him down. You shouldn't lead lands if you don't even like the lands under you. At least that's the way he felt. Kong couldn't get enough of the pack he'd led. He had felt the same way Paranoia did about these lands. He missed it sometimes but then he knew he'd moved on to better. Starting over, a new life to get his head on straight. That's what Kong had left for. And it was starting out pretty good in his opinion. Nodding his crown in acknowledgment, he decided to ask a little more, maybe find out a little about the huntress. She seemed to enjoy talking about her pack lands. He could use that to skim the pages of her heart, find out what she liked, disliked. What she wanted from life, what she didn't. Kong had a way of asking questions that had nothing to do with what he really wanted to know, yet he always seemed to find out enough to piece together for himself the answer he seeked.

I respect that. Now what do you want for this pack? Where do you see it in a few weeks, a year?

His ooids were narrowed, inquisitive and intelligent as he gazed into her orbs. He took her action, sitting back upon his haunches as he curled his banner around his flanks. Flicking the tip slightly, he pricked his eavesdroppers toward her, his dial still dropped below her own, as he still knew who the dominant one here was. He would never question Paranoia's lead. He would follow her to the end. He was determined to let her know she could trust him. Power was not what he seeked. He wanted friends, and she seemed like a really good one to have. Maybe he'd make it with Angel too, who knew. Maybe he'd get past this test of the co alpha and possibly get him to drop his shield a little, let him know Kong was not one to try to take his position. No, he wouldn't fight for something he'd had and given up. He wouldn't take it now unless there was love involved. And it was way too early to be looking for that. He only knew one wolf so far. There was still much more to meet. Maybe romance would have to hold off a while but Kong was young and in no hurry.
