Why am I hated for wanting to increase domestic oil production by my fellow liberals who drive SUV and luxury foreign cars?

Vehicles have a life cycle of approx. ten years. So a new SUV or car or Truck will require gas/oil in 2018. GM, Ford, Toyota, BMW etc, will still be manufacturing millions of gas vehicles in 2020. ( projected to be 9 million in 2025 ) so in the year 2028, where do you want to get your gas from? Angola, Algeria, Nigeria? Shipping that oil in oil tankers from half way around the world generate millions of tons of unnecessary co2. If drilled in the OCS the transportation pollution is 95 less. Therefore less co2. That's a fact. How can Secretary CHU not see this?

M.E.N.D radicals in Nigeria makes for an unstable future. etc etc. Al Qeada members where caught trying to blow up an 8million barrel gas refinery in S.A. The 250 man radical army was stopped by the Saudis. And liberals don't want to drill here yet still drive their 19mpg vehicles. We use 136 billion gallons of gas a year. 1 million electric cars by 2018 would displace how much of this?

Ethanol is approx 8.5 billion gallons a year for 2008 and will never displace gas.

Plus add in economic growth and all the MTV Sweet 16 kids that will start driving in the next 25 years. Think again about drilling domestically until we transition to alternatives.

Tell Dan Maffei to Increase domestic oil product by 1 to 2 million barrels a day by 2025.

I talked to a man the other day that was unemployed and he was against drilling due to years of misimformation. I wish someone would give me 300 dollars a week to sit on my ass...and still be against domestic drilling. We need welders. Oh I forgot some Amerians don't want to get their hands dirty. Sad.

I hope gas goes back to 4.50 a gallon...
