BT still sculpting away on new songs, a surprisingly chilly autumnal Cambridge October/November. We're about half way through recording our newest songs. Difficult to say where this is all leading in the bigger picture.
I think we're set to perform next on New Years Eve in Boston at the Orpheum Theatre.
I'm listening to some new Echo & the bunnymen songs on Spotify, a great new album by Taken by Trees from Stockholm.
A band I like called Broadcast from England.
As usual I'm most interested in movies. This new Von Trier horror film, Anti-Christ -was amazing and completely disgusting - really good in a truly horrible, horrible way. Charlotte Gainsbourg playing the borderline psychotic art school grrrl one sometimes regrets dating in ones life (--ha).
My kids loved Where the Wild Things Are (not for me) but I'm looking forward to Fantastic Mr. Fox. I love all of those wes anderson movies. They hit all my kid - JD Salinger, Kinks, Harris Tweed jacket buttons. I also enjoyed An Education by Lone Scherfig with Carey Mulligan. What a great role for this actress. I also liked Lone's film - Italian for Beginners. A dogme film worth looking for on netflix.
Keep warm, I always forget how cold and dark the world gets in November, but the wood/leaves burning smell here is almost worth all the bleakness. x Replies:
