During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

It started with the way the feminique submitted, and it was a submission I had not seen since I grew up in my old families’ pack. I did not move as she played her part, banner disappearing behind her rump as she crawled towards me, licking my muzzle and whimpering. I knew she didn’t mean any harm, but I stood without emotion upon my façade the whole time. A small slither of respect was gained instantly, and once she returned I took a small breath and watched a moment longer.

I found a story behind her smart eyes, but did not need question it. She was far from relaxed however, and as soon as I figured she was not a threat I nodded but did not smile. This nymph was here for a reason and by the way she spoke of her sister’s pack I was sure she wasn’t from these lands; A rough guess being from not knowing her own bloods’ pack name, not that it was a real concern. She had chosen our lands to pick for refuge and so she would be welcome.

‘That would have been my next question, yes, but who doesn’t understand siblings?’

Not that I really knew of her reasoning. That line did make the next one a little ironic though,

‘You are welcome here then. My name is Angel and my own sister’s is Paranoia.’

Only now did I smile a little more so now, showing she could relax. It always took me a while to figure some wolves out but I would get there eventually, either that or not worry. It would be one of the two, but I would decide as I went along probably. Finally I took a small step backwards, gaze shifting slightly. I was waiting for a call to be made, and it did not take long to reach my auditories. Turning calmly back to the still nameless wolfess I shrugged in the direction the call had come from,

‘I’m still to learn your title, m’lady, but we must head off.’

Sure it probably seemed a little rude, even if I tried not to make it such, but I turned and started towards where the call had come from. If I lingered and waited for the nymph then it may have seemed as if I was rushing her. I hated to be rushed personally, so I would let her follow or come in her own time. It didn’t really matter as long as she did come, though. I knew she was smart enough to figure that out.
