During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Doublets swiveled upon his brow as the virile spoke, taking in all his words with attention. Kalgalath had a soothing voice, that of calm and reason. One that Kong could speak to all day and wouldn't have a problem listening to, either. He had a feeling this was one of the few times in which two males could develop a friendship. Not many he had met could unless they were blood. A sad coincidence, if you think about it, but a sad truth. He found himself a little curious as to why this gladiator hadn't had a home in quite some time. Maybe he had just been a nomad, a loner. Kong had yet to find that life and for his own sakes, he hoped he never would have to. Sure, he could hunt for himself and all just as good as any other wolf. But company and a pack was in his blood, part of him, an urge he felt he must accommodate when at all possible. He was a pack animal, and proud of it.

Eavesdroppers tipped back a little when Kalgalath started talking about Paranoia's brother. He seemed a little more to the mean side of Paranoia, but Kong couldn't fairly make a judgment yet, for he had yet to meet the boy himself. He wanted to make it fair and wait to exchange words before he called the alpha anything in his mind. Otherwise, it would just be rude and uncalled for, especially since who knew how long they'd have to follow the fellow? Kong prided himself on loyalty to his pack and that definitely included Angel. Besides, he couldn't be that bad. He was related to the lovely Paranoia, after all. Brainpan nodded in reply to the titan's lyrics about members joining the pack. Yes, he had heard a good many howls in call to the alphas and his nostrils had quivered a good many times because of unfamiliar smells by the borders.

Yes, the pack was growing. As to how much, Kong secretly hoped the new arrivals pouring in wouldn't last. After all, he had his opinions about how small packs were more homey and welcoming while larger packs had more drama to deal with. After all, he'd had experience with both in his own alpha days and he didn't have too many fond memories of large overcrowded packs. Not his cup of tea, to say the least. A more genuine smile scarred his muzzle as the hunter spoke of Angel's protectiveness over Paranoia. Now that was a good sign to Kong. He looked after his blood. He had come across some litter mates who thought badly of each other or just didn't give a damn either way in his days and it just seemed sad to him that they could be so cold. He had been an only pup, unfortunately, and maybe that's why he grew up always in need of companions.

As the melodic howl of the alphess filled the atmosphere above them, Kong couldn't help but instinctively tighten his muscles in response, wanting to be up and moving her way. After all, she was calling for her pack. Looking to the other czar, he noticed the far away look in his pools as well. They both yearned to be with her. Taking the cue to get to his feet, Kong kept his crown in omega position and curved his banner up neutrally behind him, giving a slight nod to Kalgalath. Walk and talk? It was a request, inviting the stag to join him in going to meet Paranoia while continuing their conversation. He found it quite calming so far and didn't want to end it so abruptly, especially since the stud had questions. Hoping the xavier was at his side now, Kong pricked his twins toward the vampire's lyrics and returned his own in reply.

Yes, she will make a terrific alphess, at least in my opinion. She has many good views for this pack and where it will lead and I liked every part of it. She also makes an effort to really know her members, not just their names. Quite refreshing from the norm. I hope you find her as welcoming as I did. They were nearing the clearing where she and the other wolves that had come first now waited. Kong flared his nostrils, taking in her familiar scent mixed with the others. He wondered if Angel would introduce himself here and couldn't help but let his orbs brighten at the thought. He couldn't help but be curious of the alpha demon. He just hoped he proved as open as the queen.
