The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

As long as it's about me...

Sol could see exactly what he was doing to Nephthys. As the mania grew behind her eyes and her muscles tensened Sol knew just exactly what was going through her mind, he had seen her that way many times before. It was the look she got when she wanted to spill someone's blood, and that someone was him. He knew it was not because she had recognized him, there was no recognition in her eyes, just bloodlust. Something deep in her subconscious obviously recognized him and, madly enough, Sol wanted to play on it. Only someone with an equal amount of insanity would even think of patronizing a wolf in such a state but Sol was such a wolf. Even as two male wolves slunk out of the bushes behind Nephthys Sol was not daunted, not even slightly ruffled. It was not Nephthys's backup that concerned him, if things went horribly wrong and they came to fangs he knew he could kill them or at least wound them enough to escape. It was Nephthys, he knew he could not kill her. And what if his son should show up..? The blaze behind the femme's eyes was growing until it all but burned her sockets and her head lifted in pride.

And why should I accept you?

Now they were playing, the deadly dance of madness which they had danced so often as mates, was being played again before his very eyes. Sol wondered if she realized it. Sol knew that the first sparks of madness showed in his own two icy orbs and did not doubt that before long his occuli would mirror the madness in Nephthys's. His voice was as infuriatingly calm as ever and though he longed to partake in this dance, he knew he was at a disadvantage and one step too close could bring about his quick demise. That was not what he was here for. Meeting those flaming eyes, he spoke, accent thick as ever.

Because I get the job done. There is nothing that I won't do to accomplish my given task.
I can hunt, heal, kill, inspire or torture as ordered. I am trustworthy and I am loyal. If I am lacking a skill that is desired by my alphas I acquire it.

There was no boasting in his voice, it was a simple matter-of-fact statement. Sol's hard rolling muscles backed up his statements and he was obviously a wolf you did not want to face in the heat of battle. All of the above abilities were enough to make you an asset to a pack but Sol got the feeling that it wasn't because Nephthys doubted he would be useful that she was delaying his acceptance. He was pretty sure her reasons for it were not rational. That was not rationality that Sol saw on the beta's face.

What more would you have me offer you, m'lady?

His tone was not sarcastic and the madness was dying down again as he got himself back under control. His mask was perfectly fitted once again and his bells perked forward to catch the dark female's reply.
