The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

If it was ever possible for so many things to become clear in such a short space of time, it happened right there after those five unbelievable words. No, that wasn’t right, Plague did believe her, and it was obvious she wouldn’t lie about such a thing. His face remained completely blank, but not in the kind of confused way, his gaze slid off her pacing form and into the woods somewhere. It seemed stupid to be so shocked, but he’d simply have to call himself stupid because he realised he should of guessed such a trivial thing by now. The night at the caves flashed through his mind, oh DAMN, so she blamed him for such a conception? He understood everything now and couldn’t simply look at Kimani for several minutes, no matter what she was doing. Hell, she probably could attack him and he’d simply just fall to the ground and let her. She was right, it was his fault, but the frustration that he could do nothing about it built inside him, but he knew better than to show any aggression to his furious queen, he couldn’t anyway, she was much to beautiful to snarl at.

His mind blurred for several moments, refusing to simply think. He instinctually felt trapped and cornered; he didn’t consider running anywhere although his mind suggested it and kept finding reasons to do so. Plague clenched his teeth, and shut out the world, which probably looked somewhat like aggression, but no sound came from his orchestra. He swallowed and opened his eyes as Kimani spoke up once more and then he felt like he was back to square one all over again. She had only just told him he’d fathered a bunch of heirs and now she was talking about getting rid of them, saying she wasn’t ready? Plague rolled his vision up to the sky, seeing the clouds pass, but after a few moments spoke up, his compost coloured gaze looking at her.
What would he say? What the fuck could he say? SHIT.

…I…I am…not sure, to be truthful.

Normally this would be were he went and licked away her tears and maybe have a couple of his own, but they weren’t a normal couple or normal wolves. Plague sighed, actually frustrated because part of him thought it would be quite nice to have little heirs running after him and part of him was scared, really scared, that he wouldn’t have a clue on what to do with them. Pups in his mind seemed so fragile, so breakable and needy and this wasn’t even considering Kimani’s ideas on the subject. Sure, he could understand why she didn’t want pups, but he wasn’t even sure if he wanted them or not. It was if his wants had been sawed in half and his mind was threatening to burn one option to hell and back.

If I was ready, would you keep them? It’s your choice whether you keep them or not, but if you do, I will be there as their father. I don’t want you to have pups you didn’t want.

He swallowed his gaze instinctually going to the terra he sat upon. He stood and paced about the clearing, except keeping clear of Kimani’s path as well. Plague would support Kimani if she decided to keep his children and he would father them and if she decided to get rid of them, though Plague wasn’t sure how, nothing much would change, well, it seemed like nothing would change, but Plague also doubted it would stay the same. Plague saw no reason why they couldn’t have pups, but he knew it was Kimani’s decision, although he was glad that she had allowed input, he knew he had no real charge over this situation. It was up to her and he trusted her to make the right decision, which was in full, the one she felt most comfortable with.
