Freebies are often granted to "all active characters". A character is considered active if it has made an IC post within the last 2 weeks. Posts made after the freebie was posted do not count.

OKAY. as you can see, all moderators have been wiped. this is because of a new system we're putting in, on the advice and inspiration of the lovely shenan<3
moderators are now levelled. below is an outline of what jobs each level of moderator does and the access they have to areas of the site:
Administration
*all of below, and;
*obviously, running the site x]
Level one moderator
*all of below, and;
*access to the mainframe;
*access to the inner border and core;
*updating the guinness and history pages;
*updating the homepage;
*updating land points;
*updating territory rulers;
*may be called upon to do baby stats if the admin cannot.
Level two moderator
*all of below, and;
*updating the database;
*access to all boards bar inner border and core;
*updating the season;
*updating the word of the week;
*can grant points for expression of talent, good behaviour or high activity.
Level three moderator
*all of below, and;
*cbox moderator; can delete cbox content and ban players;
*riddle judge; can grant points for good battle posts;
*battle judge; can grant points for good riddles.
Runner/under-moderator
*board moderation; alerts higher moderators/administration of bugs, inappropriate content, rule breaking or positive things, such as when people deserve points for good posts;
*providing HTML services to the community;
*providing general assistance to the community.
as you can see, you start off as a runner/undermod and you can kind of get "promoted" if you prove yourself and if a position becomes available higher up.
applications for moderators are now open. everyone can apply, no matter how long they've been here or how active they are - all applicants will be considered. old mods are welcome to reapply as well.
all the work that the old mods did is thoroughly appreciated, and i hope you'll reapply. all old mods may keep their @shamanrpg.net email addresses.
