East of Rushing Rivers lies Emerald Forest, where ancient trees shade much of the territory except for those rare patches where beautiful meadows, like treasures, are hidden.

here's to the nights we felt alive

The star child and her companions ran through wooded territories, together they skirted through lands unfamiliar to her and fled from equines figures that haunted the night. She had stepped into a strange world though she found peace in the company of the glowing lights. They led her and she followed and eventually the chase ended on precipice of the heart of the emerald forest. Before the ivory maiden lay an expanse of emerald grass, this field reminded the star child so much of heilingdom, of home. Here she found rest, joy even. Her laughter rang through the air, clear and playful. She slowly paced the outline of a sphere, maneuvering in and out of her little fireflies. They were her fallen star brethren and together they danced, she giggled in a way she had never laughed before. She was happy.

Unfortunately this happiness could not last forever. They pointed her in the right direction, away from the timber they had traveled through and out onto the opening fields. It was time for them to part, they said, and she nodded solemnly. They would give her one last gift, the gift of light. The flickering insects surrounded her, they weaved in and out of her flaxen tresses, surrounded her and without her realization, the magic happened. One pure crystalline aquamarine was placed ever so carefully upon her back right hoof. They had granted her a power, one that she had no knowledge of yet, they were pleased with their work. The pinprick of luminosity danced in front of her, coaxing her from the sanctuary of foliage. She would do fine, they knew this and with this, they departed from her, wishing her well.

Celeste was unhappy to see them go, but her time with them and her new found magic gave her hope that she one, once again, be reunited with both them, her stars and her lover. She wickered softly to the fleeting beings, offering her best wishes on their travels. Celeste was alone now, as isolated as she had ever been for the second time that day. The female sighed softly as she delicately stepped into the clearing. The joy she felt was fleeting though it seemed determined to hold onto to the star child and she admired its perseverance.

The emerald blades brushed gently up against the maiden's legs and she brought her cranium down to be tickled by the loving landscape. It was during this careful action that she noted something familiar amongst the evening zephyr. It started out as a scent, a memory of a land she had parted with and in fact it took her several moments to realize this smell was not one she was recalling from memory, this was real. Her tiara raised and she allowed the wind to flow through her navel cavities. It was him. She paused, relishing in the musky cologne. "Sinner." The word was a whisper on her lips.

Her cranium raised and when she spotted the male standing above her, his gaze heavenwards, her gaze softened and she looked upon him in awe. Before her was the same blue skinned male, visible warmth radiated from his bodice. He had changed, that much was true and in her wandering perhaps so had she. Her bodice rose heaven wards. A soft cry reaching out to him, the star child had returned.
