During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

I could smell the blood as I got closer, but it wasn’t the blood of a hunter. Had this wolf actually gone out of her way to bring a little chew toy to make it look as though she were putting an effort into joining our pack? I wouldn’t say she wasn’t, but I didn’t like suck ups. I didn’t like a lot of things really, but snarky suck ups were definitely on the top of hates.

Then again I didn’t really know what she was just yet.

As I finally entered upon the scene of two feminiques, I sighed. Already there seemed to be a little tension, but I didn’t fully know the omega very well so I wasn’t about to let her manner affect my next choice whether to let the submitting femine live with us or run before I caught her. The call had been a little violent, but I shrugged it off as any other howl to announce an arrival.

I managed to hear her little speech, and it didn’t really impress me. All wolves spoke highly of themselves and I honest to god hated it more then a wolf who would admit their weakness or impress me with words of just how they weren’t perfect hunters. No wolf was perfect, and I knew for a fact that wouldn’t start here.

‘There is no real advantage of fight. If you were a good fighter than you’d know not to size up your opponent or judge them by how they look, it normally leads to a fall. Therefore unless you were fighting the inexperienced, it doesn’t leave you with an advantage.’

My voice was deep and nonchalant, bored even.

‘Most wolves here are fast to an extent, without that we wouldn’t be able to keep ourselves fed.. And if you hunt anything like you fight, then there is nothing out of the average with you.’

I gave the wolfess a quick look up and down before turning towards the omega, Devil’s Goddess wasn’t it? I let a small growl rumble in my chest.

‘No need to be hostile there, honey.’

Okay it was sarcasm but I didn’t really appreciate how she’d jumped straight to conclusions. Turning back around now my gaze fell upon the struggle rabbit. I took a calm step forwards and wrapped my jowls around its neck, snapping it easily. With another small jerk I tossed the body back at the female and growled once more.

‘We may not hesitate to end another’s life around here but wolves have a way to defend themselves, don’t play with your food.’

Now I knew I was just picking apart the little things. With another sigh I gave the wolfess a final look.

‘Get up, Prim. My name is Angel and my sister is Paranoia. We don’t like slackers around here so don’t think we are a resort.’

The warning was real, and if she thought pack life was better then being a loner; being bought food, laying around with a little fake safe feeling, then she was going to be shown different. You had to contribute to be given anything around here, and I wanted her to know it.
