„X *Name: Tria pronounced TR-IY-ah
„X *Gender: Female (XX)
„X *Appearance (include eye/skin/hair colour): Tria is pretty much average and to be honest appearance isn¡¦t high on her list of priorities. Then again nothing¡¦s that high up on there.... in fact she probably doesn¡¦t even have a list of priorities. Still to be fair she isn¡¦t some ugly lump of rock on a beach, or shiny pebble; no she¡¦s the bit of glass from some broken bottle that has been attacked by the sea and shaped into something that¡¦s smooth, irregular and rough around the edges. She has a heart shaped face with nice lips, the top being slightly thinner than her lower and has a bit of a kink to it. Her nose is too large for the delicate bones of her face and it makes her eyes seem small and beady. Tria¡¦s eyes are a strange shade of brown not warm chocolate or hazel more orangey-brown, still far from caramel though. Though her chin comes to a soft point her jaw has a sharp strong edge to it. One thing about her facial appearance that is either considered attractive or ugly (sort of like marmite) is her mop of hair. It¡¦s a striking shade of azure blue and is cut so it falls to the tips of her shoulders in an uneven and jagged, side parted style which is usually scruffy and wild as she cuts it herself and rarely bothers to do anything to it. Her hair and eyes contrast with her skin which usually has paleness to it, just below tanned a soft cream.
Whilst she is naturally thin mainly due to a poor metabolism Tria often becomes underweight as well as she has moments where her appetite is simply null and void and she only eats when she feels hungry. Thus Tria doesn¡¦t eat much at all and stays perpetually thing and often appears peaky due to a lack of nourishment or a lack of iron and other minerals and vitamins. Her lack of appetite is not due to some psychological problem or childhood trauma causing anorexia or bulimia Tria just doesn¡¦t eat much, or often. Thus through her skin you can often feel her bones which are thankfully not brittle or no more than usual. You can also feel her muscles that don¡¦t have the same strength as a body builder or weight lifting champion. Tria¡¦s muscles are long, lean and stringy but they do have certain degree toughness to them. She isn¡¦t quite a walking skeleton tough you when she breathes in you can see her ribs protruding just below the surface of her skin. Her legs are thin but sturdy and have tight tense muscle as Tria loves to run and does so frequently.
Across her back Tria has four scars that stretch from the top of her left shoulder down across the blade and further down to the middle of her lower back. The scars are raised and feel like long bumps, as well as being an ugly purple shade they stand out horrid and ugly against her normal skin. She hates them so much so she always clothes that cover her back so no one can see them. Her hands also have a multitude of small scars on courtesy of her mother¡¦s familiar (a hawk) who liked to perch on Tria¡¦s hands and arms unfortunately leaving behind several shallow, and some not so shallow claw wounds some of which left scars.
„X *Defects (only required if the character has any): Tria suffers from three defects, one genetic and two psychological phobias. Her genetic defect is Haemophilia A, and the two phobias she suffers from are Genophobia and Nycotophobia. The definitions and explanations of these are below.
Haemophilia A (is rarer in females but does occur) Info - Haemophilia is a blood condition in which an essential clotting factor is either partly or completely missing. This causes a person with haemophilia to bleed for longer than normal. Cuts and grazes are not great problems as a little pressure and a plaster are usually enough to stop bleeding. The main problem is internal bleeding into joints, muscles and soft tissues. Haemophilia is a lifelong inherited genetic condition, which affects females as carriers and males who inherit the condition. About a third of new diagnoses are where there is no previous family history. It appears world-wide and occurs in all racial groups. About 6,000 people are affected with haemophilia in the UK. There are two types of haemophilia, the most common being haemophilia A, in which Factor VIII is lacking. In haemophilia B, Factor IX is lacking. People with severe haemophilia can experience spontaneous bleeding usually into the joints. If left untreated these bleeds cause acute pain and severe joint damage leading to disability. Bleeding episodes have in the past caused difficulties with education and employment, as well as mobility problems for many who have been crippled by the effects of regular bleeding into joints.

Genophobia is the physical or psychological fear of sexual relations or sexual intercourse. The word comes from the Greek terms genos, meaning ¡§offspring,¡¨ and Phobos, meaning ¡§fear.¡¨ Genophobia can also be called coitophobia. This word is also formed from the Greek term Phobos and the term coitus, referring to the act of copulation in which the male reproductive organ penetrates the female reproductive tract. The term erotophobia can also be used when describing Genophobia. It comes from the Greek tern Phobos and reference to the Greek god of erotic love, Eros. Genophobia can induce panic and fear in individuals, much like panic attacks. People who suffer from the phobia can be intensely affected by attempted sexual contact or just the thought of it. The extreme fear can lead to trouble in romantic relationships. Those afflicted by Genophobia may stay away from getting involved in relationships to avoid the possibility of intimacy. This can lead to feelings of loneliness. Genophobic people may also feel lonely because they may feel embarrassed or ashamed of their personal fears.

Nycotophobia is a limiting and disabling disease characterized by a frenzied fear of the darkness. It is triggered by the mind¡¦s disfigured perception of what would or could happen when in a dark environment.
Despite its pervasive nature, there has been a lack of etiological research on the subject. The fear of darkness (nyctophobia) is a psychologically-impacted feeling of being disposed from comfort to a fear-evoking state. The fear of darkness or night has several non-clinical terminologies--lygophobia, scotophobia and achluophobia. Nyctophobia is a phobia generally related to children but, according to J. Adrian Williams¡¦ article titled, Indirect Hypnotic Therapy of Nyctophobia: A Case Report, many clinics with pediatric patients has a great chance of having adults who have nyctophobia. The same article states that ¡§the phobia has been known to be extremely disruptive to adult patients and¡K incapacitating¡¨
Nyctophobia is a fear suffered by both adults and children. It is most common among pediatric patients. Nyctophobia patients are frightened by thoughts of darkness. They assume a quicker response to darkness than do most people. For most adult patients, the fear has been with them since childhood. Adults who developed the phobia in childhood may suffer from any retrospective reference or mental-recall of past events in the dark.
„X Age: Tria is nineteen years of age
Personality: Tria can be very blunt at times, either when she is annoyed or is sick or avoiding something or lying about it but she can be tactful and cunning when she needs to get her own way. Not only can she be incredibly stubborn when she wants her own way but also when she is absolutely sure she¡¦s right or is trying to protect someone. Her stubbornness can be annoying for some people; especially when she does it because she doesn¡¦t like you and is purposefully not admitting to being wrong. Her bluntness and stubbornness make it difficult for her to talk to people without giving the impression she is rude, so instead she tries to stay quiet so as not to offend anyone unnecessarily.
When it comes to people Tria isn¡¦t usually the one to start a conversation with a stranger; this being the remaining effects of her brother¡¦s abuse. Therefore she also isn¡¦t much of a chatterbox and prefers to use her ears and listen rather than talk. When it comes to relationships she simply isn¡¦t interested in being serious with anyone especially considering her phobia. The whole idea of having a soul mate seems strange to her. Plus wanting to spend the rest of your life with someone is scary to her. She doesn¡¦t mind other people who have ¡¥serious¡¦ relationships she¡¦s just not into that at the moment. She¡¦s not exactly gullible or romantic; she just has problems.
Though she may perhaps show more compassion than some of the others in her family but that¡¦s due to experience and not her normal mannerisms.

„X History: Tria¡¦s history is a sore spot. Her phobia¡¦s stem from her brother and the abuse he inflicted on her at a young age before their mother took Tria and left to keep her safe. From then on Tria¡¦s life got easier but she still suffers the lingering effects of her past, as most do.
„X Sample post: (A character of mine whose personality is similar to Tria¡¦s) Why the hell had she woken up today? She wasn¡¦t an early bird naturally and even when she did wake up early she would stay in bed for as long as possible just to snuggled and warm for as long as possible. So why in anything¡¦s name was she up and about today of all days. It had been grey and cold and murky when she¡¦d woke up and felt horribly wide awake and she¡¦d tried to block out the day by dragging her pillow back over her head. But it didn¡¦t work and instead of staying curled up in the warm she¡¦d got out of bed and decided to waste her day by visiting the beach, of all places. She didn¡¦t even particularly like the water but you can blame that on her ¡¥problem¡¦.
She was pretty sure she¡¦d lost it completely she never wanted to get up she¡¦d just laze about if only because it was a habit. And on a grey day when everything seemed to be tinged with that depressing colour she¡¦d just stay put in bed and just avoid everything. Yes she was defiantly questioning her sanity more than usual. Especially if a storm was on its way like she suspected, then she should defiantly be inside. The curse of being a human lightning rod, she attracts it. Ever been struck by lighting? Erin has thirteen times.
So she¡¦d left at some ungodly hour (to her anyways) this morning, thankfully without waking her dorm mate, and made her way to the beach. For a while she¡¦d been content to wander the sandy outstretch cold breezes of air whipping and teasing at her whilst the sky steadily darkened. Her black hoodie hung loose and flapping with the wind beneath that she wore a dark top missing its shoulders with sleeves that stretched slightly past her wrists. On her hands she wore a set of worn black leather gloves. Her legs were protected from the wind by a set of tightly fitted black jeans and ankle high black leather boots.
Erin wasn¡¦t sure how long she¡¦d been down for and quite honestly she didn¡¦t care. Or well she hadn¡¦t cared until the rain started. She¡¦d thought it wouldn¡¦t rain till she got back but now she was quite obviously wrong. Erin didn¡¦t mind the cold and didn¡¦t generally mind the rain if she was inside but now the icy liquid had successfully stuck her clothes to her body and was running down her nose plus the water that hit her skin made a hissing noise. This got more than a little annoying after a while.
Still she chose to remain outside. There was no thunder yet so for now she was safe. And besides bad weather meant there be fewer people out and about. This meant there¡¦d be few people she could hurt nearby. Erin¡¦s not opposed to people exactly, they just always seem to end up getting hurt around her and she doesn¡¦t like hurting people it¡¦s far too stressful.
