During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Kalgalath stifled a smile upon hearing Kong's words to the fae. Just as Kong felt no fear toward this fae, neither did Kalgalath. However, he was surprised by her lack of submitting to Kong. True, he was not either of the alphas from this territory, but he had been left in charge by them and was, to be put most simply, the stand-in alpha, and for this femme not to show respect to him by refusing to submit irked Kalgalath. Had the alphas come suddenly returned and saw this sight, their humor would have been... well nonexistant. Besides, even when the alphas were present in the terra, it was common for wolves seeking acceptance into the pack to submit at the border. Most often, it was not the alpha that would first come upon them. In Kalgalath's mind, submitting was a form of respect for the leader of the pack, be it alpha or not.

Kalgalath’s orbs noticed Kong’s own upon him, and understood that Kong wanted advice or input on this newcomer who wanted admittance into the pack. Kalgalath knew of Kong’s pain that the alphas be gone so long and that he be put in charge; the uncomfortable look that lay behind his eyes and the exhaustion that lay upon his frame gave it away. But Kong was doing a great job as stand-in as far as this brujo was concerned. Turning his attention back to the fae at hand, he let his coat bristle slightly. He knew that the slight gesture would not go unnoticed by Kong. This fae just didn't feel right. She told how other lupines were scared that she would torture or kill them, yet she did not act as if she would. Kalgalath had no fear of any one lupine- a pack was one thing, but a single wolf would not frighten him. Sure, there were those he had a healthy dose of respect for- the alphas being two of them- but fear was not the word that would pop into his mind.

His twins swiveled next to address the two femmes that lay behind him. One of the scents was unknown to him but it was lightly laced with that of Kong and of another member of the back- this lupine stood quietly. However, the lupine who was in the pack lay behind the bushes. Kalgalath cocked his cranium slightly, puzzled by her hidden position.
