It was a sad thing to hear of Larry’s passing; I spoke to a last in the late 90s when he was organizing a show for Neal Young (who he had worked with for years) in Toronto and he seemed to be doing quite well. He was quite a character; even won an Oscar for something to do with the production of the movie version of Woodstock.
Yes, he was an All-American swimmer as a sophomore at PMA in the 400 yard freestyle. Who knows how well he would of done if he hadn’t injured his back his junior year. I do have fond memories of him at PMA and even when we lifeguarded together the summer of 66 at Ocean City Maryland.
Last year I mentioned to him often in a short story about swami at PMA; that friends had asked me to write.
In respect to him: cannot say, and I will not say that he is dead – He is just away! With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand. He has wandered into an unknown land...
