East of Rushing Rivers lies Emerald Forest, where ancient trees shade much of the territory except for those rare patches where beautiful meadows, like treasures, are hidden.

here's to the nights we felt alive |
The arctic air from the god Boreas had never been a reason for Celeste to shy from life. Winter was the time at which the star child shone brightest. It reminded the ivory maiden of what life had been before this life force rushed through these delicate limbs. She remembered being trapped behind the cold transparent glass of the galaxies which separated her from this heavenly plane. She embraced the frigidity which had crept up on the couple, embracing them in the wind god's protective arms. It made her feel alive again, not that finding Sinner hadn't done so already. The ivory maiden saw the flash of ruby from the corner of her eye. Her cranium turned sharply in the direction of the sudden pop and the creation of the multi-pigmented flames. The female eyed them, uneasily. In her experience things did not come birthed from nothing.
The ivory maiden remained incredibly still, perhaps she was waiting for some sign, some instinct to tell her to take flight. Yet for some reason the star child felt oddly comfortable, as if this was how life was supposed to be. Here flames from nothing were acceptable, as much as her cranium said otherwise. The gifts she had been given and the gifts of her lover were a mystery to her. She had not been aware of the intent of the dancing bugs she had encountered.
Celeste's audits fall carefully against her skull and she hesitantly moves herself closer towards the flames she was still uncertain of. The ivory maiden strategically positioned herself so that Sinner would be closer towards the dancing flickers of light, all the while listening to the words he spoke to her. She paused to answer only when she was certain enough of her safety, which only occurred when she was at his side, her flesh mere inches from his. "Galadriel?" She questioned uncertainly, the naming sounding peculiar to her ears. His words were beginning to become meaningless to the star child. A light they had both seen inside her? "I do not understand." Her head was tilted to the side, her cranium deep in thought at an effort to find the answer to the riddle he had presented to her.
A sound penetrated through the peaceful seclusion the two had found. Celeste heard the sound of another and her momentarily relaxed physic became tense once more. Meetings with others of Sinner's herd had never gone well in her experience. It was not that Celeste was not aware he would have other loves, other females. She was painfully alert to the others who cooed for his attention. However, she was also naïve enough to not consider herself in the same category as them, never thought herself important enough to have to compete for his attention because in her mind, she was certain to lose.
The air around the ivory female stirred and Celeste unconsciously held her breath. It was neither friendly nor incredibly vicious though something told the star child that it was still a threatening presence, something she should be afraid of. It drifted in soft currents around her, as of it was waiting for a command that was not from the ivory maiden. Magic was something foreign to the star child but much was happening far too quickly for her to be comfortable. She had run from less threatening scenes before and if her instincts weren't yelling at her to remain absolutely statuesque, it was likely she would have run as she had in the past.
The female's crystalline orbs observe this new ivory creature with curious speculation. Her cranium dips on just barely as a way of saying 'how do you do'. Celeste had never been incredibly social or talkative, only just now letting Sinner in past her cold and distance exterior. She smelt like him, this new female. Smelt so much of him that it was almost difficult to tell where his scent ended and her's begun. Sinner had never chosen a queen to rule at his side in the past, but perhaps this time he had. Her knight had definitely changed, that much she was sure of, considering her current positioning of being sandwiched between a strange mare, threatening currents and a magically appearing fire. Celeste was definitely no longer having one of her finer days.
OOC: Was a bit confused with Ankh's post when Ankh "kept her jewels planted on Celeste" sooo I just kinda deciphered as best as I could.
