This is a large lake with many streams and marshes around it. There are, as the name might suggest, many pike here. This is a good place to hunt them! There are some dangerous things such as alligators, crocodiles, sharks, and snakes, which can survive in the vast lake thanks to the valley's extensive thermal features.
The lake is fed by Requiems River, which feeds into the northern end, coming straight from the Canyon. To the south end lies Galar's Marsh, which is also where the River channels out from. To the northeast is the Tall Grass Prairie.

The unmistakable, heavy beat of big wings against the air alerted the family to more than just Zhener's presence. Two more eagles, both almost double his size, alighted in a nearby pine tree not far from where the wedgie had landed amongst the wolves. One was Zhener's mate, the sea eagle with a brilliantly yellow beak that looked large and powerful enough to lob off a wolf's tail in one bite, and beside her was their eldest daughter, Spirit of the Sea. While they were friendly enough with the wolves, they preferred to stay in the trees and on higher ground, rather than submit themselves to the inquisitive noses and paws of the canines. "Karai, I missed you too! I vould have come sooner, but zhe family is sick again." With the wolfess' help, the clumsy eagle, who could be otherwise so graceful on the wing, gathered up his feet and soon was standing upright once more... if not rather muddied now. "Ello, little vons! Been a vhile since I've seen you all." Trying to get caught up and greet everyone all at once, Zhener responded a second or two after Karai had mentioned her son, and bobbed his head back at her, "Ja, ja. I saw him leaving. Was going to follow, but IceVing spotted you over here, so we came back zhis way."
The lesson on dogs was derailed, though not soon enough to really perk Tunga interest on these supposed 'King Hounds'. If only his mother's explanation on the small dens wasn't a slightly frightening thing to Tunga, who greatly enjoyed his freedom, he might have been tempted to venture into town and look for this giant creatures. Now of course, he was looking at the muddied eagle that his mother was greeting, and joining Akembi in bouncing towards the raptor.
(lol, i'm having as much trouble typing zhen's name correctly as you do with scott!)
