This is a large lake with many streams and marshes around it. There are, as the name might suggest, many pike here. This is a good place to hunt them! There are some dangerous things such as alligators, crocodiles, sharks, and snakes, which can survive in the vast lake thanks to the valley's extensive thermal features.
The lake is fed by Requiems River, which feeds into the northern end, coming straight from the Canyon. To the south end lies Galar's Marsh, which is also where the River channels out from. To the northeast is the Tall Grass Prairie.

"Elderwild and Ravenwing usually hunt in the early morning hours," Brother offered out, knowing the habits of the older indian nearly as well as he did those of Tahmores himself. "And you'd do well to avoid her too, Zhener - she's prone to getting snippy with all of us, and we live there. And that's not to mention what the masters will think." To that, Karai chuckled a little, and stage-whispered, "Perhaps if Zhener might leave the lambs alone, John wouldn't dislike him so much." But this was a joke against her old friend, because she didn't really expect him to stop taking the occasional lamb; after all, she'd eaten sheep before she'd come to the ranch, and though she left their own flocks alone - and indeed had never attacked them, even before she'd made her home at the ranch - Karai understood that it was kind of a delicacy for the bird, as something that he could capture relatively easily that tasted good. Meanwhile, Ayxi was trying to build up an image of these 'whales with horns' in her head... without too much success. "Silly they may be, Akembi," their father admitted, giving his head a shake at remembering just how bizarre the picture he'd seen looked, "But snakes look silly too, with no legs; and they have their purpose."
