Her ebon hooves pushed into the moisten earth of the Valkyrie jungle, her body screaming in rejoice as she moved deeper into the heart of her former home. The jungle, of course, had been the one place she had really felt accepted and appreciated; the one place she had ever been able to call home in all of Hoof Prince. Tendrils of darkness wrapped like veins around her bleach spotted bodice, while the earth rumbled around her seemingly purring with happiness. A soft smile – something that hadn’t forged itself upon her earth toned jaw in some time – broke out like sunlight moving through the dense winter clouds. Finally she could be happy.
Finally, she was home.
Of course, she wasn’t back for good. No, she had come following Viriarus and Natie with a plan for their most beloved and seemingly vacant Valkyrie jungle. They, after all, were proper Valkryies who knew the history and had been there for quite some time. Unlike characters like Freska and Freya who were newer to the jungle, and most loyal to this new regime. Which was a good thing; Kitty needed loyal members in her jungle who would stand behind her if some old friends came calling looking to kick their asses into gear much like the merry band of ladies who happened to be strolling through the jungle on the rather warm and humid winter’s day. Sasha couldn’t help but smile, though. She knew the life had returned to her eyes as well as the rest of her.
What she wasn’t sure of, though, was how Kitty would react. The last time she had seen Kitty, she had been throwing around lightening rods like Zeus in the Isles of Despair. For a second, doubt flooded through the Duchess, wondering if Kitty would actually ban her from her beloved jungle – the only place she could ever be truly loyal to. Zach and Dresden both had to know it, too. Dresden could see the hollowed out face of his most beloved, and Zach never really had expected her to be completely loyal to the South. She had become stagnate, much like the air around the Isles as of late. She couldn’t bring herself to help kick start life in the kingdom, either. Instead she left it to Remora and Tiberius; two faces more deserving of noble ranks than she.
Dark eyes shifted to the faces of Natie and Viriarus, wondering if they, too, were as happy as she was to be back in the jungle. If Sasha had close friends, it was the two of them; they had all caused their fair share of chaos and destruction over the years. Perhaps this was the dawning of a new era for them; an era that meant their names would be synonymous with the Valkyries, and of course, respect and fear.
It felt good to be back.
ive got a feel you in my bones again
Im all over you, not over you
