During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

King Kong watched with neutral lids as the hunter lowered himself to the turf. He didn't feel angry or anything toward the brujo, but he had to understand that he had stepped out of line by asking that on the packlands border. The titan obviously didn't understand packs, yet he wanted to be the alpha of one. Hoe could he ever be a good leader if he didn't understand how to be led? Shaking his pate, he spoke softly. "You can't create one. You must fight for the right to lead here, its how its done. If you cannot defeat someone who leads, then how do you plan to prove your right to lead?" His orbs conveyed nothing but untold wisdoms to the boy. He didn't want to lecture him, he just wanted him to understand. A heavy sigh escaped his lips. "You don't have to live alone. Maybe living in a pack would give you a different perspective on the whole alpha thing. After all, there are a lot of responsibilites that go into leading a pack. I'm sure the other packs here would not deny you the right to a pack."

The ebony fellow could tell this sahib had ambition, but that was not the most important thing when you are an alpha. Most of the good alphas didn't chose it. They had it thrust upon them for being the second in command, or because the alpha chose them to take over, or many of other different circumstances. Ambition is just a small thing, and while its not bad to have, sometimes it can lead you to some not so good things. You had to have many other skills. Listening, the power of persuasion, logic, survival instinct, and many more. Every good alpha does not have all of these qualities but the great ones at least try to. Being an alpha is not about gathering wolves around you and saying you are their leader. Its many other things, most of which Kong saw lacking in this wolf. He needed a little more maturity and experience in the black knight's opinion. Eh, to each their own.

He watched with a pinch of sadness rooted deep in his sunkist voids as the rogue headed out with one last look. Shaking his crown a little in sadness, he finally turned his back to the gladiator and padded away with another heavy sigh. Boy, wolves these days had no idea what they wanted really.
