It was humid. There was no doubt about that fact, even in the dead difference of seasons that basked outside the realm of femora. It was well enough for those who selected such a state of warmth and moisture to beset the landscape, those of the flora and fauna born of such atmosphere, but for so many others it was much more of a hindrance. The cool touch of glistening water did nothing to quench others from the continuous heat, for what could become of trying to douse exhaustion with the very thing that caused it? Even with that said it didn't seem to bother her in the slightest.
The dense jungle parted its grip of fog about the pale figure illuminating each stride she brought closer to the lands of the Valkyries. Within the confines of her newly chosen home she felt at ease, paced calmly as though no danger could befall her in such a realm. better still was the fact that there were others who claimed allegiance with her already, friends if you will, that would just as soon be there to welcome her arrival as she would be glad to welcome them to her side. Thoughts tracing to her past for a brief instant were cut short by the gathering of lightning breaking the near silence foiling the heat of the woods.
The near darkness fell suddenly with the onset of a turbulent storm riding high above, though so obviously not of nature's intent. Someone was very, very cross. Though still youthful of her own abilities the sudden mask of her new surroundings made it slightly more difficult for her to negotiate her path, thus, her Aquamarine was quick to set to work. At first, there seemed a small flicker of light floating just before her much in similarity to a newborn flame to a candle wick. Slowly it grew, the stretch of raw brilliance bringing about a gently glowing translucent creature, it's tendril-like limbs barely touching the earth and fox-like skull craning in her direction before turning and leading the way through the overgrowth.
Voices filled the empty air like music, the sounds of fae and few of stags protruding the heavy air and leading her closer to her selected destination. As she drew closer she felt the possibility of unwanted intrusion until hearing the familiar sound of Seraphina's vocals that put her doubts at ease. The small illuminated figure was first to meet the clearing before she forced through the vines and reeds, the glowing beast soon flashing into extinction as quickly as it had been brought to existence. Gaze flitting between the gathered members she was unsure of who was meant to be there and who was not. Apparently, the stallion was not of Valkyrie material but she would not judge such things too quickly there, the rest being of femme accents she simply paused and smiled warily.
She knew she had intruded on something important, but as to what she hadn't interrupted early enough to find out. The one who was very obviously causing the distress in the skyline was lit with the power of electricity, coursing angrily across her pelt like welcomed pests. Another arrived shortly before she had, question plaguing her words as she breathed the very air of a powerful head, a leader of sorts, perhaps the very embodiment of one of the many elements they were endowed with. She knew there was no other true route to follow, other than to find out what was occurring and seek out where she stood then, either in remaining or simply heading deeper into the jungle.
Yes, what is going on if you don't mind my asking... This being my first day among you it sure is an interesting one.
She knew it to be perhaps one of the dumber things she could have thought up but at least she was going to try and be blunt.
...should we shine some light on the subject...
