 A face that awakes when I close my eyes A face that watches every time I lie A face that laughs every time I fall And watches everything Sasha was lost in his eyes.... As lost as he had felt when he had been trapped under Mallos' gaze... When Mallos had stared him down and he had stood frozen, wanting, needing... He could not let go even if it was a choice between life and death. Sasha could feel it, deep in the sinews of his soul, that there was something real there, something... connecting them... invisible, but present. He felt himself be drawn in closer, but unlike the selfish, hollow grasp of Mallos, this one was warm, and wasn't completely commanding of him, wasn't just because he wanted something from Sasha... As strong willed as Sasha seemed, and rebellious, he simply wanted somewhere to belong, and being so different from all of those around him made it seem so impossible. He would belong to Vali, if he was wanted, but there was still the protective defense, the shell that he kept wrapped tightly around his heart. He'd been hurt too many times to simply open up on faith. However, Sasha certainly was flattered when this stranger, this man, became suddenly possessive of him, protective, from the slightest suggestion of another approaching. He could feel his cheeks turn hot with the flush of blood within them. That word, so sudden, so ubrupt, made him shiver, glancing shyly at the shadow on the wall before he couldn't help but look back at Vali. The warmth of his lips on Sasha's forehead made it easy for forgot, at least for now, how cautious he was about letting someone in close to him, letting someone see his fragile nature. Even now, he still maintained some strength, but he was not as hard or as cold as he usually is... part of him was starving for the attention, for any affection... He didn't flinch, not even the slightest, his arms firmly wrapped around him, unrelenting in their hold. And then Vali had to go and say that he was Sasha's now... Sasha almost couldn't believe it... it felt too good to be true... but despite all of that, Sasha WANTED to believe it. I mean, damn, not a single good thing had happened to Sasha in SO long... he was drowning in the misery that was his life, and although he had saved Vali, he needed Vali to save him, from himself, from the razorblade embedded in his jacket, hidden, waiting for him. He looked up, his lips trembling so briefly as his cheek turned into his touch. His body molded itself to Vali's tightly, warm and secure in his embrace beneath the blanket. "Sasha..." he replied, whispering his name to Vali, Vali who chose to belong to him before he even knew his name... Sasha was never one to worry about things moving too fast; most of his experiences were little more than brief flings anyway, so when Vali's lips met his own, he was hardly alarmed, perhaps a little stunned after it had been so long, so very long since he had been wanted by anybody... Slowly, Sasha let himself return that kiss. If he wasn't such a hardass these days, he might have wept. It was so rejuvenating, so refreshing to be seen as something worth caring for, worth kissing, holding... loving? Perhaps it was early for that, but either way, Vali was like the rain after a drought, and Sasha... Sasha was the earth, parched, starving, dying... Sasha could not help it if the emotion overwhelmed his walls, his defenses, slipped through to a more intimate kiss, a more openly accepting one. Accepting of what? Accepting Vali's claims.... even before Sasha knew himself...
