TO ALL RETIREES,
I was very glad to see the post by President Greg Stout in regards to my passing along the information about the failure of the Remarriage After Retirement Amendment to the Contract. At the time of my post I was not aware of how much time and effort the PBA put into getting this Amendment passed. Properly, I should have called Pres. Stout and spoken with him about what went wrong. I failed to do that and I mispoke in my thread. I always want to be open to the truth and we all know what that is now. I know how busy Pres. Stout is and appreciate his taking the time to correct my statements but more importantly get the correct information out for all of us to read. I have notified Pres. Stout that in the future I will check with the PBA to make sure we are all on the same page. Once again, thanks to Gregg for taking the time to point out what actually happened to the Amendment and how involved the PBA was. We have asked Pres. Stout to use our web site to post issues of joint interest to both active members and Retirees as well. I hope to work close with the PBA next year to help push this Amendment across the finish line. It is proper that we get this change made. It is so overdue.
