They were going home soon, that’s what Flynn had said, but that they had to stay in the castle a bit longer until some housing had been put up in the Lab. That was where her older brother had gone now, back home with their Dad to try and see what was going on and if they could help Adonis in anyway. She and Henry had been left with their mother and very soon Renn’s twin had suggested that they go off exploring again. The girl had noticed a change in her brother since he had got his familiar, and Renn liked Fitz, he made her laugh, especially when the fur on his back would tickle her nose whenever the cub sat on her knee. Admitting that she was a little bit jealous of Henry was a hard thing for Renn to admit, she was happy for him, she really was, it meant that when he wanted to go off exploring, that she didn’t always have to follow him, the only problem was that she couldn’t stop wondering why she didn’t have a familiar too. Resting a hand on Henry’s shoulder, Renn told him that she was going to go for a walk, and the boy replied with a nod, blue eye showing concern, but for once ready to recognise the fact that his sister needed some time on her own. She was wearing her usual pair of dungarees, over a long sleeved rainbow-striped top, and as she rounded the corner which took her out of Henry’s line of site, the girl rested her hands in her pockets. Renn had decided that she was going to go and look for Jack, she hadn’t really seen him much since Flynn had rescued them all from the flood, and she knew that he would listen to her if she felt like talking. The problem was, that the castle was rather large, and Jack, rather small, so finding him amongst the crowds could prove very difficult indeed. Taking a left turn, the child follows the corridor towards a wooden door with a large metal door handle. Upon reaching, she extends her left hand and pulls the thing open, feeling the sharp bite of the cold wind against her face. Renn had reached the end of the west wing, and stepped out onto the top of the turret, rolling down the sleeves of her top in an attempt to keep out the cold. Thinking that she was very unlikely to find Jack now, the girl stayed where she was for a while, and then, upon hearing raised voices in the courtyard below, rested her hands upon the stones and peered over the edge in an attempt to find out what was going on. She did not see the approach of the large multi-coloured bird as it made an heroic attempt to fly from the nearby tree up onto the wall of the turret, due to the toucan’s poor flying ability, he only just made it. When Renn turned around, she jumped with surprise, as her green-blue eyes fell upon the gigantic, brightly coloured bill and the black and yellow creature it was attached to. The bird was around twenty inches in height, with green skin around its large black eyes, the huge beak was mostly green in colour, but towards its tip were some patches of blue and red. ”Hello there” Renn said, voice soft, holding out a hand towards the toucan, not expecting him to stick around let alone talk, ”hello” the bird replied with a glint in its eyes, ”I’m Nico, I think you’ve been looking for me?” Renn & Nico
