So let me think of how to word it

And I'll be here by the ocean
Just waiting for proof that there's sunsets and silhouette dreams
All my sand castles fall like the ashes of cigarettes
And every wave drags me to sea
I could stand here for hours

He gulped slightly as Zoey approached the bed and sat. Lolli smiled down at the Pangolin, before giving him an affectionate lick. His breath caught slightly as she said his name and paused. Suddenly the room didn’t have enough oxygen, and he couldn’t stop his ehart wanting to rip out of his chest and hug Zoey tight. Instead, he keeps frozen. Her words of congratulation seemed slightly hollow, and Patrick asked Lolli silently about it. At this the tigress did a mental eye roll, and replied in gentle coaxing words.
She’s probably upset that you went out and had kids. Twice.
Paddy mentally glared at her, before snipping angrily.
I didn’t consent EITHER time!
His attention was quickly back to Zoey when she spoke. He blinks, and smiles nervously again.
Oh…heh…I’m sure there’s more interesting things to…to be doing…
He swallowed again, starting to bite his lip. Lolli flicked gold eyes to him, half expecting to see a fork of lightning come from his hand or something. She’s quite surprised by the amount of control in her pale boy and she brushes against his mind, seeing the amount of focus it was taking him. She offered some of her unbeatable strength, and the boy relaxed slightly.

A small odd sound came form his lips as she took the guitar away, along with a small wince and a “be careful!” from Lollipop. But any protest Patrick was about to make was quickly silenced when she took his hands. Grey eyes glanced at her hands, before moving to her eyes. He sees the blush on her skin, and his breath catches.

Lolli smirks down at the Pangolin, before lying her head down and watching them both intently. Half of Patrick knew what was coming, and the other half thought the opposite. And another half was thinking “holy shit!”. And, the other half was demanding Lolli tell him how to deal with this. The only reply he got was,
Follow your heart nimrod.
The brush of soft lips on his made him jump slightly, and he blinked at her.
Those dreadful, wonderful words come. Dreadfully wonderful, they drip into his ears. A large blush spreads over his cheeks, flashing colour on the pallid face. The colour spreads down his cheeks, dancing down his neck and tingeing his chest. His eyes looked away as the blush deepened.
I…
He gulped loudly. Oh, say it Patrick. Say you love her. You know you want to. So very badly. You love her so much.

But those gloriously hateful words have two very different meanings to Patrick. The first, awful, hideous one is the “love” and “affection” that he has known all his life. The “love” and “affection” that his brothers, and Alexi, and Rosa had shown him. The usually painful love. And there was this new fangled love that Zoey is showing him. This love that makes him feel like he’s going to burst, that every molecule of his body knows it belongs with her. And they all ache to touch her.

What’s the harm in telling her that love?
There isn’t is there Lolli?
The tigress shakes her head mentally, and Patrick takes a deep breath. His own hands tighten their grip on Zoey, and his grey eyes meet hers.
I…I love you too Zoey.
He felt his heart skip a beat as he said it, and the blush deepened. He leaned towards her, unsure. He’d never voluntarily kissed someone, and so he didn’t really have a clue. But, he let instinct take over, and his lips connected with hers. It was a bit hard, and his face blushed even deeper, seeping further down his chest.

He feels something tug at his mind, and the boy blinks.
Shi-
Is all he can say before his pupils dilate, then contract. Lolli’s eyes open, and she looks at Patrick.
Er…Zoey. The 4th curse is taking over. Paddy’s not…incontrol.
The boys pale hands tighten on Zoey’s, not painful, but persistent. He tilts his head, then smiles a pirate smile. He leans forward kissing Zoey again, and he’s unsure of what’s happening, but it doesn’t hurt. And that’s a good thing. Leaning back, the boy tilts his head and licks his lips, still smiling. Let the good times roll.

Just to ask God the question, "Is everyone here make-believe?"
With a tear in His voice, He said, "Son, that's the question."
Does this deafening silence mean nothing to no one but me?
