rulers and guardians of the vista mountain Jensen smiles as the girl, who has now introduced herself as Charlotte, takes the plaster from him and begins to tend to her injury. If he had been a telepath, he might have told her that Shaman did, in fact, have a giant floating Tesco above the Shady Labyrinth, and that yes, it did sell cigarettes. There were also the trades people who passed through on occasion, although with the recent flooding and falling ash, he doubted Shaman would have had many visitors lately, and would not have been surprised if the magical floating super market had not relocated to somewhere less….cursed? Soon, Charlotte is starting to talk again, or babble at least, a lot of it doesn’t make sense to Jensen, who was, by nature, the type of guy who condenses what he has to say down into the least number of words possible, whilst still making sense. “Err…sorry,” Jensen said with a small smile, “you lost me a couple of sentences back, who’s Shelly?” Then she’s off talking again, referring to her birds, and he again finds himself rather confused. Then he looks closer at the tattoos all over her body, more irregular and widely spaced that the patterns in his own skin, and realises that she’s actually fond of the markings. This concept was alien to Jensen, everyone in his old home had had markings like his, according to what family they were from, but no one had actually ever chosen to have them, not really. “You like them?” the man asked, gesturing with his hand towards the tattoos, Kopa’s eyes following his master’s hand and realising what was going on. She thanked him for helping her and he nods, hazel eyes glancing down at the floor for an instant, the tiniest of faults in the exterior he tries to portray to the world in an attempt to hide all of the insecurities he had. Kopa grins broadly when Charlotte’s attention comes back to him, and he gets to his feet, long tassel-tipped tail flicking backwards and forwards in a slow motion version of the reaction you might expect from a puppy. ”Yep yep,” he said with a grin, “I talk, sometimes Jensen tells me that I talk too much, but Phoenix doesn’t mind so much, she says I’m good company!” With that, Kopa sits down near to Charlotte’s feet, a grin on his face, especially when her fingers start to slip through his mane, and he begins to purr, which, due to his size, sounds more like a very deep growl in the back of his throat. Its was obvious that he was not being grumpy however, as his blue eyes were closed. “Phoenix hugs me a lot” he tells the woman, rubbing his head against her legs, ”So does Morgana, I like hugs, they’re nice!” Jensen rolled his eyes. |
