“Just say 4th curse, turn and walk away, or run whichever” the fox’s voice sounded loud in her head and she could only be thankful that he hadn’t actually spoken out loud as was his normal habit perhaps he was trying to show her he could be at least partially reasonable? To be honest she had no clue what Loki was doing other than probably waiting for a better moment to snipe or perhaps waiting till they went to see Jensen and Kopa again and he could tease the large white lion as e always chose to. It hadn’t been long since the fourth curse had struck it was true but already Loki was closer to phoenix than was usual. Normally he’d be yards ahead or somewhere around darting off. Today he paced by her feet his sharp eyes alert even when she was not. Taking a breath in she chose to reply to the fox first and decided the telepathic link was a better choice at the moment, “I am not going to do that Loki besides I can’t run at present thanks to a certain someone”. If it was possible for a fox to cringe she knew Loki would be. The second curse had resulted in a nasty bite to her foot made by her fox familiar. She can use that for a while to make him shut up when he’s being too annoying.

Anyways, back to the problem at hand. Phoenix isn’t a social creature; well she doesn’t know how to socialise that well without upsetting someone. She’d been forced into social situations thanks to the third curse and so far.... well no one had tried to kill her yet and that was always a plus. This time though she had no idea what to say. She honestly didn’t know him, okay maybe she may have met him at some point throughout the time spent stuck in the core but she had no idea as to names and faces. Working with the healers for the past week hadn’t exactly helped it meant everyone was busy constantly and you didn’t really get time to learn the faces and names of everyone. By the end of the first day she’d stopped trying; Loki hadn’t bothered to so asking him was no help what-so-ever. Oh great Loki’s original idea seemed to have been the best option now. She hadn’t been stood looking stupid for longer than a minute it was just internal cognitive process working, something he’d be loosing about now unless her truth sight had decided to not work anymore. She bit her lip hard and resisted the impulse to run mainly because that would hurt. She dropped instantly into a crouch as he fell down to his knees clearly shaken by whatever the curse was doing to him. She rested her weight mainly on the ball of her feet one hand on the ground helping to keep her balanced. The posture was steady for her to keep in place for a little while so long as she wasn’t knocked it also meant she could spring away in any direction if she had to or needed to.

“Um... well... it’s the fourth curse. It came into effect a couple of days ago. It just affects different people at different times” so she settled for the blunt approach it seemed the best option to go with especially if the fourth curse made you primal, you still understood words right? What the hell was she supposed to do now? Loki was choosing to sulk and stay back a few steps and be decidedly unhelpful. “I'm sorry but I don’t who you are either, gee lot of help I am” the last part was meant to stay in her head but instead the words came jumping out of her mouth and Phoenix frowned a little she was normally good at controlling her tongue. Damn Loki was rubbing off on her. At least that’s what she chose to blame it on; besides the white fluffy animal was always in some kind of trouble. Phoenix focused back on the other and her eyes searched for the other faeries hoping they would give her some clue as to how far gone he was. How affected was he by the curse how long would it last?
