A third horse appears in the clearing, which was rapidly becoming too small to comfortably contain all these equines, and this one is a stallion, the first of his own gender that Eriant has seen before. Which wasn't surprising, given the place he lived in. The colt ends up feeling quite glad to see the strange stallion appear, as his arrival causes the scary mare to move away from Eriant's immediate location. A sigh of relief is barely held in by the child as an immediate result, and as if in answer, yet another female appears, standing close to Moose, the nice-looking mare. He takes another step towards the black and white paint, not feeling at all shy over his aversion towards letting the bay get close to him. During his momentary retreat, he hears the third mare address him, calling herself NicEssus and offering him her help, much as Moose had already done. Well, that was good of the both of them, and he can definately see himself needing to call upon it until he was old enough to protect himself against the jungle hazards. "Thank you...", he manages to say in response, wanting to be polite. Both of them had smiled at him, and so he offers a quiet smile in return before turning his head to look at the other male...he seemed to be putting all the mares here on edge, and the colt wonders why.
Eriant hears the bay mare speaking, and immediately turns his head to see if she's directing her words towards him again. But no, now she is responding to what the stallion had said when he first arrived. Confused, Kitty's son wonders what she's doing as she looks from the ebony stallion to him, then seems almost to be tasting the air. She comes towards him again, and sudden fear locks his legs into place when he would prefer to run, or at least hide from her on the other side of Moose or NicEssus. Her cold breath tickles his ear, and the words she murmurs to the boy tickle his brain. Daddy? Whose daddy? Hers? His? His mother had never revealed to him his paternity, but did this predatory female know the answer? Eriant looks back up at her, working up the nerve to bring his question to life, but at this time, another figure he regards with dread appears. The mare who had taken his mother's place as Queen, who had (in his mind) been responsible for him ending up an unofficial orphan. He starts to frown at her, but his impulse fades as he looks upon the granite face of the new Valkyrie monarch.
Making a face at her suddenly seems a childish thing to do, if she took notice of him doing it at all, and instead, he silently stands pinned in between the trio of other females, watching Viriarus take the...Rajput? to task for coming into her domain. The stallion hadn't offered his name when he arrived, but somehow Eriant doesn't think Rajput is it, it sounds to him more like a title, as the mares that lived here were called Valkyries. Was there a place of nothing but males? The colt is suddenly sure of it, since it didn't make sense for there to be one and not the other, and that word probably belongs to the masculine kingdom...With so many horses around now, the colt feels increasingly nervous, and unconsciously finds himself moving to stand between the two mares who'd expressed concern for him, then turning his small body around so he can see what happens next. It seemed a lot safer there, then where he'd previously been standing, out in the open.
