He is not who he once was and that makes him dangerous. It makes him reckless and violent as he thrashes, as he tries to break the bonds forced upon him. He does not like it here, in this body. It is much too uncomfortable and unstable, he feels shaky and unbalanced as just two thin legs which have not near the same power as before. This skin, so pale and wrong, can be so easily destroyed by tooth and claw. Simon feels sick at the very thought, but it also makes him angry and he curls his hand into a fist.

Her voice takes him away from his thoughts, drifting to hear her smoky words. Simon nods, feeling as hair melts against his cheek and he pushes it away with a quiet hand. Her questions make him lift an eyebrow, his lip twitches just a tad as he turns in her direction to look at her. “I have lost more than you can know,” he spits to her in a bitter tone that really does not sum his entire emotional range. “I’m not suppose to be a fairy like you, I don’t belong here.”

Simon does not mean in Shaman, he means in this body.

“Simon,” he whispers to her when she gives her name. Carefully his eyes marvel over her for a second, taking in her delicate and rustic body. “You shouldn’t be so easy to give out your name, it’s an important thing.”
