Anything Else You May Wish To Include: Like Greed, Envy is characterized by an insatiable desire; they differ, however, for two main reasons. First, Greed is largely associated with material goods, whereas Envy may apply more generally. Second, those who commit the sin of Envy desire something that someone else has which they perceive themselves as lacking. Dante defined this as "love of one's own good perverted to a desire to deprive other men of theirs." In Dante's Purgatory, the punishment for the envious is to have their eyes sewn shut with wire, because they have gained sinful pleasure from seeing others brought low. Thomas Aquinas described Envy as "sorrow for another's good"

Sample Post: Phoenix had been going steadily stir crazy in the castle. It was like being stuck in a pressure cooker and it just kept building the pressure up and up and up. Up till that unbearable high and then ‘boom’ everything turns to mush and tastes of cold water-y cabbage; that in the case of a pressure cooker. Phoenix isn’t a pressure cooker. Stick phoenix in a dangerous situation and sure she’ll feel the pressure the fear but she’ll work through though, think logical or don’t think at all whichever works best. Being stuck in a castle with disease and famine and who knows the other two members of the four horseman of the apocalypse roaming the corridors was a pressure she couldn’t handle. Well she was handling just not very well it was the kind of pressure she hated; no abhorred. Even back home in the Vista Mountains she had never spent this much time indoors. Sure when I was winter it got pretty freezing in their home and she’d have to bundle up and stay in front of the fire so not to freeze but that didn’t mean going outside was impossible./ Yeah maybe she’d hibernate for a while and by a while we are talking days, as in a couple of. After that she’d be back outside for a while in the snow and ice as barefoot as she always was. Normally she’d be trying to stop a certain arctic fox most people know as ‘the annoying little ball of white fluff’ but who she refers to as Loki from getting into the kinds of trouble that fox managed to find himself falling into; normally it was making him shut up and learn when to back down. In the castle the fox was still as annoying as usual and whereas she normally wouldn’t mind and knew her familiar had his heart in the right place no she found herself snapping at him to shut it rather a lot. She’d even half considered asking Kopa to ‘look after’ the small white animal but had dismissed the thought as soon as it came to mind. Placing the fox and the lion alone in room would never lead to anything but a complete and utter disaster thus she persevered with the animal... somehow. The threat she’d tie his mouth closed often had the desired affect.

Perhaps you can half understand the reason she’s comparable to a pressure cooker. She’s stuck inside as her home isn’t exactly dry yet and wandering around in soggy lands without shoes on could get her foot infected. So she’s been in doors pretty much all of the time trying to keep busy in hopes that she will stop herself going completely and utterly insane or dying of boredom. Though dying of boredom would be rather hard under the circumstances considering the curses meant there was a lot to do all the time and never enough time to do it all in. She’d been nursemaid for a few days as her powers weren’t exactly helpful in anything that would be useful. The third curse pretty much had everyone sort of at an odds with each other or just plain blown out of the water (no pun intended) in shock. So she’d been helping the healers anyway she could she’d learnt more about how to deal with minor injuries and cuts and scraps and various other ailments inside a week than she’s ever learnt in her life. She now knows how to keep wounds clean and sterile as well as how to stitch some closed and keep the patient calm and not make them run away.

Finally some of the pressure has ebbed as the number of people inside the castle walls dwindled slightly due to the fact they could get into some of the dryer lands. Phoenix wasn’t so lucky her home wasn’t dry yet but she could hope that it would be soon. Still as soon as there looked to be some relief BANG here came the fourth curse practically hammering down on them all. She’d only had the liberty to know about it after Arthur had called her and other members of government to a meeting acquiring as to the whereabouts of Aura. Still it had been a while later when she’d found out what the fourth curse was. She didn’t like it, not being affected by it straight away was not all that exciting not being affected meant you were always on your guard for either those who were shall we say ‘under the influence’ and as to when you would fall. So far she could identify those affected as having a deep dark red light shining about them; it was disturbing to say the least.

So far she had no blank spots in her memory and didn’t feel or look affected in her eyes so she was okay, right? Well she was for the moment. Today she paced the corridors with the fox at her side, she didn’t want to go and play nursemaid, and she didn’t want to go outside where the ground was wet and soggy. The jeans she wore were loose and baggy and frayed in several places the vest top he’d thrown on was tighter and a black shade. Long dstar8ght black hair framed her face and the pale girls bare feet pattered over the cold stones. Besides her trotted Loki who was quiet for a rather pleasant change. Her gait fell slower as the approaching footsteps she’d heard belonged to the person walking towards her was under the influence of the curse.
