"You take the Breath right out of me
And left a hole where my heart should be..."

Even though my home back in the Labyrinth had been reopened, I still liked to return to the Core to see if there was anything I could help with. I mean I wasn't of much assistance in the nightime considering the fourth curse overwhelmed me and made me useless for anything other than sex, last night had taught me that, but I still felt like I should try and open up the arms of friendship and be of some help. I mean I couldn't cure a famine, nor could I assitant in the drying of the lands due to a lack of elemental control, but I could just try and be there to support people. I could only cope with doing that due to the fact that though I had made many friends in Shaman, I could always rely on one. Nicotine. It had gotten me through everything so far so why change habit now? It made me able to deal with problems to the best of my ability, my own and sometimes, others.

So I reentered the castle, the smell of decay and a lack of hygiene formming in my nose. I mean the place had improved since Arthur had put his foot down and got everyone up off there asses, but sadly, that smell would forever remain here, a constant reminder of what had happened. The saltiness of the ocean outside was overridden by the smell of rotting and destruction. All that smelt good about this place was beneath the surface, the smell emitting from people (you know, underneath the fact they smelt like they hadn't bathed in days, weeks even, which was probably true). It was the smell of hope. It was a warm scent, something which all people were giving off. I mean, I couldn't go as far as to say other smells that lingered in the place weren't so sweet, in light of the fourth curse, the smell of fornication was as clear as day.

However, as I wandered through the corridors, there was a smell that hit me like an ice block. It was something which I could sense, feel more than what shot up my nose other than cigarette smoke from the fag in my hand. It smelt, of cat...Big. Cat. I looked down the corridor to see a large lion pacing in front of a door and I stopped in my tracks. Now I personally, loved the creatures, they were beautiful, powerful creatures. But nature within me could not override such primal fueds. I continued walking, slowly past the animal until I came alongside it. I stared at it for a moment then to the door. The animal seemed to be guarding the room. Curiousity, it prickled me. But I didn't want to interfere by any means. I couldn't seem to move away however, and before I knew it, words were coming out of my mouth before I even formed them in my head.

"What's new pussy cat?"

Oh Blake, you are such an ass sometimes, I thought to myself.

"You've got to fight just to make it through
Cause I will be the death of You."
