Arthur watched her keenly as he took another sip of wine, enjoying the slightly metallic taste and the hotness of the spices he had added, brow creasing in concern, as she spoke, sounding very tired, and he made to pull her closer towards him. He released the goblet willingly as she took it from him, his grey eyes straying upwards towards the canopy of the four poster, taking in the designs in the golden paint as he had done hundreds of times before, completely oblivious to what was going on in Lilith’s head. She regained his attention however when Arthur heard the clatter of the silver cup colliding with the wooden floorboards and by Pendragon ruffling his wings, clearly discomforted by what was going on. As he turned his head, he felt the mattress shift as she moved and before he had time to react, he felt her weight on top of him, one knee each side of his body. The young King fixed her with an enquiring look as Pendragon clicked his beak once more. There was something about her eyes which Arthur did not like, something almost feral glinting at the edges, though he did not yet try to push her off.

The familiar sensation of her hair brushing against his face as the warmth which passed through his body as her lips pressed against his own, the kiss more confident, stronger than he was used to from her, but he seemed to be working on automatic pilot, and his left hand rested against her thigh as he raised his head to meet her mouth once more. A nagging feeling was pulsing in the back of his mind, telling him to stop that something was wrong and that he should stop, but it had been a while since he had kissed her like this and he was reluctant to stop. “Arthur!” Pendragon’s voice sounded in the boy’s head, ”bit busy Pen”
Arthur shot back through their telepathic link as Lilith removed her shirt. Arthur’s grey eyes combed her face just in time to catch the smirk, a soft curling of her lips which he had done seen before, and something about it jarred. “Its the curse Arthur” Pen snapped with obvious impatience, ”so as soon as you’re ready to start thinking with your upstairs brain, that would be fantastic.”

Arthur’s fingers closed around her slender shoulders, pushing her back and away from him, and somehow managed to get out from underneath her, running a hand through his hair, his frustration obvious, he cast a look at his familiar who simply returned the look stonily, stare for stare. The boy leaned across the bed and picked up Lilith’s shirt, holding it out to her, ”I’m not going to do this” he told her simply, hoping that in this state she would understand, and hoping that she would not try again, he did not know how long he would be able to resist her for, “put it back on.”

Arthur & Pendragon
All great men do wicked things, but people are more willing to forgive them
