This is a prairie with very tall grasses. It is easy to hide here, so long as you aren't a dark colored wolf. Hunters come here often though.
The northern edge of the prairie is boarded by a lower stretch of the Ochotona Mountains. To the west, there lies a mixture of deciduous and coniferous forests, while the eastern edge is bordered by shorter grass prairies and then tundra. To the north east are the Eskers. And in the south, Requiems River runs horizontally, bordering the Prairie until it loops down again on its journey towards the sea.

Peacekeeper, for the most part, stayed out of disputes, as her name suggested. She avoided the battles between her group and their enemies. The zebra/horse hybrid lived as peacefully as she could in The Night Watch, a famous (infamous?) pack run by the coywolf known as Nightshade. Peacekeeper's mother, Hero, was a warrior, as were her ancestors all the way up to Greyfell, the leader of the Shadow Haunters. Peacekeeper was more of a diplomat than most of her friends and family.
With Nightshade busy with a recently-captured enemy, Peacekeeper decided to wander away for a while. She didn't like all the anger. The equine visited her favorite place to relax: Tall Grass Prairie.
She could smell the rain approaching. The yearling knew she'd have to head back home soon, as the storms were usually strong around this time of year.
As she wandered, she noticed a horse a little ways off. She looked to be a loner. Nobody should be a loner forever. It was too dangerous here. After a few moments of deep thought, Peacekeeper took a few steps forward.
"Hello? Are you all alone?" She seemed a bit shy, as she sounded quite unsure as she spoke.
