He felt like he'd been here a lot more recently than he'd ever been before. Usually there was nothing anchoring the mascu down, nothing to hold him in one spot too long. He was a traveler after all, a loner, a wanderer. He was used to life out in the woods by himself, with no one to talk to but the breeze and his victims as they took their final breaths of air. God, he missed those days. The days when he was free to do as he pleased. When all it took was a nod of the alpha's cap and he could rape any fem he wanted, all he had to do was kill the target wolf. That was never the issue, it was the drama that came with his own rules that usually took the longest. He always milked it for whats its worth, saving the actual killing of the target till he was done with all the belles he wanted a bit of ass from. What could he say? The midnight demon enjoyed leaving behind the pieces for the mate to clean up after he left his girl crying and bleeding on the den floor. He took quite a few virginities that way, let me tell you. Not that some of those more pure ladies' mates were too fond of that, but if they had something to say about it, well, they took it to Devil and he showed them what he thought of. A busted eyeball or a broken leg usually got the message across quite clear that he didn't give a damn.

His ebony paws carried him stealthily through the territory that he'd actually come to enjoy living in. Not that it felt like a place he could stay in forever, but it almost felt like home. The problem was, really, that a place didn't feel like home to the virile, it couldn't. He could feel at home talking to someone if they made him feel really comfortable, or he could feel at home when he actually felt connected to someone and well, that rarely if ever happened for Devil. Speaking of connections, it had been quite some time since he'd come across that lovely brutale, the queen of this majestic paradise and the devil to his hell any day. He'd heard she had to go meet a challenger and really, he did envy her. How long had it been since he'd had an actual throwdown with another canine, not just a bloody massacre? Too damn long, in his books. He wondered how Queens would look when she returned. Would she be so bloody and scarred up that he wouldn't recognize her? As soon as he thought it, a smirk crossed his livids and he scoffed at the idea himself.

First, Queens would never let herself go down without maiming the other wolf first. Second, he would always recognize her. Her perfume was like no other, he could recognize it a mile away, probably more. It never ceased to make his adrenaline start pumping and his manhood to tighten in wonder and excitement. What? He couldn't help it if he'd had a really good fuck with the vampiress. Sure, Stiletto was no angel in the sack, and he had a feeling now that he knew the truth that perhaps she had more of her dam in her that she knew. Metronome also seemed like anything but an innocent, but he had yet to get close enough to that delicate little cherry to see what she was about, not that he wasn't interested. He wondered about the strange death kissed velca that had made her way to the border while Queens was away, too, the one who mysteriously went missing not long after they had a nice little chat. Oh well, guess she wasn't really all that intersting if she couldn't even stay around here long enough for a second conversation.

The beast made his way quietly toward a large tree, the makes of a weeping willow. The branches swooped down in graceful archways from the top, making it quite shady and private underneath. Devil could get plenty of that just walking around this place, lately, but today he was tempted to walk beneath the branches, just to see what he could see. Sighing, the titan changed his tracks and made his way toward the tree, crouchinf down low to go beneath the branches without disturbing their swaying rest. Once underneath, it looked and felt like a jungle. It was like a different world under the weeping willow branches, the dusk outside making it seem like midnight had already come once under the shade of the tree. He made his way toward the trunk at the center, sniffing the tracks of other lupines and creatures that had been here before. If he wasn't into all that sappy shit, he would say it was almost magical underneath here. Instead, he sat down on his haunches right beside the rough bark of the tree and let another heavy sigh drip from his lips. His satellites swiveled on their perches, taking in the scenery around him alertly as he curved his banner around his flanks, not waiting so much as listening, seeing if anyone else would be tempted to come into another world so close to nightfall. It could truly be a risky choice.
