A pointed look was redirected at Johann, almost warning in its meaning, yet he couldn't muster up anything too strict against the man after all he'd been through in the last few hours. And after experiencing that fear from Cassidy about her uncle's wellbeing, he was even more inclined to go easier on him. When he didn't say any more about it, Cassidy backed the message up for him, and Lanny figured that he'd listen more soundly to her than him anyway. "You'll have to stick with using the phone to contact your people. Let me handle being on the road from this point out." Lanny might have said 'us', but instinctively knew that Johann would not go for Cassidy being out their with such potential danger; and now that this had happened, Lanny himself wasn't so sure Cass should be actively seeking out information either. It was Raine again that distracted the young man, who flicked a smile down at his daughter, and wiggled a finger for her grasping hand to catch.
