Lanny chuckled out loud at Cassidy's quip on Johann's writing, and had to agree that it was a pretty apt description. "The form could use some work." He added in another splash of humor himself, then drifted slowly back into a silent, observant manner. While Cassidy was watching her uncle and noting all the intricacies, from an age-old scar to the struggle he was putting up to form legible characters, Lanny was listening to the footsteps that passed by their door and taking glances out the window to monitor the parking lot below. "You're safer staying here." What snapped him back to attention on Cass and Johann, and certainly stole any trace of humor from his voice, was the idea of young woman going outside by herself. "There's people out there that're after you, and walking outside makes it that much easier for them. I'll take the letter." As stubborn as Cassidy was about it, Lanny was ready and willing to butt heads on this topic.
(ahh, well good that it's nothing serious! and that it doesn't hurt ^^)
