Lanny had the young woman's best interests in mind - and deep down, Cass knew that, though she probably wouldn't have spoken about it. But she wasn't going to be dissuaded from this, and the way she squared up to the young man's words and the old man's expression said that clearly before she even formed words of her own. There was the iron in her voice again - that tone that said she wasn't to be crossed on this topic, and would fight viciously against any one who tried to enforce their opinion against hers. (welp, 3 in the morning, and i seem to be having a bout of insomnia >< one of those nights when i can't seem to get my brain to shut up so i can sleep. decided i might as well post, since i was awake. may or may not be on when you get up in the morning, depending on when/if i get to sleep; on the upside, i thought up some fun, heavier-end drama we can do on tv, if we like - draw a little attention away from the fate of your doomed guy for a while too, lol)
