His words echoed around the clearing for a time, then to his surprised eyes, a pathway slowly appeared out of nowhere, yet it looked as if it had been there all along, and his fiery lit orbs had just now been opened to it. He swung his head from side to side, then continued forward, one heavy hoof after the other taking him closer to the end of the trail. His nose caught a sweet scent, of roses and tilled earth, and many other scents he could not pick out or decipher to a name. A lovely picket fence caught his eye, and then something more out of the ordinary happened: a human appeared. Now, this was a creature he had encountered twice before: once, the two-legged thing had tried to chase him and put rope around him- imagine, he, Broken Dreams, being tied by a two legged mammal to do whatever the thing pleased with! And the second time had been much different (although by the smell and look of that particular two-legged meant whatever it was, wasn’t normal, or at least the only resemblance it held to the first was that it’s body was similar, but the skin was emerald, it had a tail of sorts, and wings) and that two-legged fairy tale creature had helped him. This one though, she looked more like the first, but held an aura and something else about her that resembled the second two-legged being he ran into.
The Oracle had lovely pleasant arms, soft and powerful, which he noticed when she stood up to wipe the earth from her hands. Huh, he thought curiously. She came to the white picket fence, and his eyes caught the swing of the talisman about her neck; very different from what he had noticed even Arianah wearing. He found that the words he had spoken some time before found their way back to him and replayed over. The Oracle had a small smile on her face, and he wondered if he had amused her, or maybe he was doing something that others weren’t; he himself had witnessed from his original herd that when someone has the power to give- and to take away- that many come seeking things to get, not just knowledge.
Her striking voice washed over him with waves of calmness and powerfulness as she simply stated, I know why you have sought me out Broken Dreams. Her entrancing violet eyes held his gaze, something he was not used to, and he felt every tensed muscle uncoil, for her words were like welcomed heat to relieve his stressed physique. While your past has created a sense of unrest within you do not let it hold you back; unrest can prevent you from gaining the full extent of what it is you now seek. Next she spoke of his god of fire, Paduan, telling him that he seek out Arianah and Donegal, the rulers of Silver Lakes to be trained in his ways. The woman stepped closer, and normally he would have flinched, but she made him feel…different, that even though he has not had an easy start and it won’t get an easier, he at least knew what to expect now. Her next words confirmed what he felt: to be wary of the path he is upon, for to achieve the opal is thorny, to put it lightly.
Broken Dreams stretched out his mug towards her, placing it in the space between her hands that rested on the fence. He blew softly into her face, then said next, Delphinium, I take your words with care, and I shall keep them with me always; for one such as yourself does not have to give me these words to play with, these words of what’s to come and of warning…What may I do in return for the kindness you have offered me? He said, and was surprised to find that he was not in a spell bound state, not drawn in through trickery or fairy tricks, yet he felt some of his mistrust simply disappear.

*Brought in the world by a beautiful fae called Phisidora, and an unwelcoming father by the name of Lateral Limit. As I took my first stand, the sun shone upon my pelt, reveling a coal-gray color. Within me I held a secret, for I was unlike the others…yet only the one who birthed me knew, and she’s no longer with us. No scars or markings are upon this coal bitten pelt, with the exception of a black splash upon my dial, hidden by my black tresses. When I reach my full height, I am 16.3 hh, full of rage and anger, blackened by my past and secrets as I travel in this land alone, tied to no one. I am loyal to a hellion dictated as Paduan, and I am a keeper of the ruby red jewel. I am a mystery, no one knows about me, my heritage…Or what happened. For I am the road, the path, the lane, the boulevard, that leads to Broken Dreams, and my shadows the only one who walks beside me.
