The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Plague was indeed a shadow, something Misty should have expected of the alpha of Andere. One minute she was curled up next to Sadakah and the next a large black frame came out the forest and stood before them, magnificent, strong, handsome, everything she once sought. Not anymore. She wasn't looking for love again any time soon, but it was refreshing to watch him. She could see the love in his pools. It was as if Kimani's shadow stayed with him everywhere, he never left her and he never would. They were what soul mates should be. She wished to have that someday, though she was in hurry. Her heart had some healing to do, first. Her banner wagged in joy as she saw Plague, lifting to her paws just to drop her forehand as she dipped her crown in respect and greeting. Her golden twins twinkled happily as he told her to submit. Was he talking to her or Sadakah? She wasn't sure so she did the foolish yet safe thing. She dropped to her back and rolled over, showing her jugular to him as she tucked her plume between her hinds. Once he gave her a silent approval, she knew it was okay to get back to her paws. She sat down on her haunches once she was back up, content to prick her tuners and watch him address himself to her friend now, asking her name. Her banner wagged softly behind her, happy that everything was finally coming together.

Plague asked if they would like to accompany him and Misty nodded her dome in approval. How could she refuse? Not like she got a lot of company here lately.

That's when everything went downhill, fast. Instead of welcoming the alpha with lowered crown and respect, she bristled her fur before dropping to her back like Misty had taught her. She didn't remember teaching her to act aggressive first, though. Then if that didn't raise enough eyebrows, the young ess started talking about how she had a mate. Misty's voids widened in shock. What was she doing!? This was disrespectful. It sounded as if she thought Plague was hitting on her. Could she not see the pride and love in his lanterns for another? Misty suddenly felt like she wasn't such a dunce after all. Then again Sadakah was her first friend in a long time. What would she do without her? Her whipcord stopped wagging and tucked as close to her backside as she could get it. Pinning her satellites, she lowered her facilities, a whimper dripping from her lips. Plague reacted like a lightning bolt, snarls ripping from his chest as he pounced at Sadakah and soon held his open jaws over her jugular. Misty felt herself shrinking to the ground in fear. Another whimper escaped her labrums.

Finally he backed away and held himself in an attack position, telling her in no weak terms to leave now or else. Misty didn't like the sound of that. He didn't glance in her direction even once, for which she was glad. Nightmares of Hunter and Phonix with foam on their labias and growls much like the ones coming from Plague tearing from their own lungs plagued her as she stared at him in horror. Unable to take it anymore, she yelped and tore off, away from Andere. She had to get away from the growling. It was just too much.
