Instead of flinching at a human- or at least a two-legged- touch, he gently pressed his steel dial against Delphinium's hand, letting the silence encompass them both as two friends wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket. Her thoughtful words settled into his soul; he did wish that the Oracle would allow him to do something in return for her, aside from the seeds she had planted in his thoughts, to learn and to pass that knowledge along to others. He longed for respect, something he did not have before...yet now, now he had his own land, and was excited to recruit others to his herd, to possibly find a mate. He had petitioned to become a soldier in Donegal's kingdom, and had asked him to teach him.
Broken whuffed air from his nostrils when the kiss was planted between his orbs, and watched Delphinium walk away as her last words floated on the breeze. He wondered when he would come back here again. Since he was now at the third level of his Fire Element, he wanted to branch out into a second element. After Donegal had invaded his thoughts and caused a scene, he wanted to learn how to block another's spying brain out of his own, to see what may come in the future... or maybe the gift to create storms, whether it be Water or Lightening. He was sure that if he was bestowed with Darkness, it would surely consume him... he had barely been able to control his fiery rage that the ruby had impregnated within his already anger soul. The Oracle's touch had taken the worst of the edge off that anger, and now that he was a higher level, he felt more in control of it. Yet, he was seeking training for it even still and longed to be fulfilled with more elements. His goal was the Opal, and he was learning to be patient when it came to earning what he wanted.
He sent his thoughts out onto the wind, sure that this woman would be able to answer his question. Delphinium, before you disappear completely, please, enlighten this dark horse on how to obtain a second element... Do I ask you for a second jewel, or do I go to the god and make my request known there? I feel I have taken up much of your time, and I am indebted to your graciousness, but only a few moments more, if you wish...
He truly did want (and need) to learn how to master his original element and how to fight...He wanted to learn how to obtain other elements as well. He owed it to those around him, he owed it to Delphinium for the kindness and love she had showed him.
