The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Jena left Jewel, her foster mother, to wait for Baroq, her foster father, with her foster siblings. Her parting words were spoken softly, knowing Jewel would hear her. “You need anything just call.“ With newborn pups in the pack, especially them being family, she was taking no chances. Jewel had already been attacked once right before she gave birth by a intruder. She had showed up in time to help, but the real heroes had been Plague, the alpha, and Baroq. Afterwards Jewel had gone into labor, losing two of her pups due to the rogue wolf. However, amazingly two had survived, and now Jena was glad to be a older sibling to a sister and brother.

She pushed her fore limbs forward in a stretch before doing the same with her back. Her patience had worn thin of waiting, so she decided to take a jog along the border, make sure everything was alright. It was quiet, with the pack members keeping to themselves of late, few had been seen around. Even the alphas seemed to have found some shadows to hide in, but she knew they wouldn’t be for long. They always showed up when needed, and for that Jena was grateful. They had saved her life and her foster families, and she would always remember that. She broke into a run, her small white and grey body a blur in the forest as she traveled along the familiar paths.

The young adult was glad to be stretching out her stiffness, and it’s been a while since she’s been out and about, especially around the border. Even she, like most of her pack mates, had seemed to hide in the shadows, avoiding company unless she sought it out herself. It made her happy to be back on her usual rounds, even as a youngster she had answered howls from loners. Gradually her pace slowed to a slow walk. She began to sniff around, taking in the familiar scenery around her. Dusk had fallen, and already the sky was starting to darken, with the moon light barley filtering in through the trees. After awhile of walking through the dark a new scent assaulted her nose, one that caused her head to turn in the direction the smell was coming from, simply to make sure that it really wasn’t her just catching a stale scent. What did we have here she wondered. New member perhaps? To be honest, Jena kind of hoped so, it had been growing quiet around here with so many members gone or hiding out, per say.

A loner, at the border up ahead, and she picked up her pace up to a slow run. Her mind couldn’t help but notice that this femme hadn’t howled at all, and it made her happy. She grew tired of those that howled because they were so impatient or thought they wouldn’t, or stupidly thought couldn’t, smell them. As she came out of the bushes, she allowed her pelt to bristle a little, causing her fur to puff up, as she kept her body in omega stance, the lowest rank in the pack. With newborn pups in the pack, she couldn’t help but wonder what this brutale’s had to offer, or if she was just a dangerous pawn to be played in a game? In other words Jena was wondering if she would be a asset or a liability that could harm the pack in some way. The femme, standing in front of her wore a pelt of pitch black with dark colored orbs. Jena knew her alphas would prefer the vampress already submitting. Oh well, that could be fixed she hoped, and she already had a bonus with Jena for not howling, but it might not matter to the alphas. Speaking, her voice calm and nice, as long as Zafrina plays nice, flowed smoothly from her maw. “I suggest you submit, exposing your throat and belly before the alphas arrive. I assume you’re here to submit, so why not tell me your name and abilities you can bring to this pack, to help us get to know one another? By the way I’m Jena, omega of this pack.” Once she finished speaking she swerved her auds in her direction waiting for a reply. Her aqua colored lampages staring at the brutale, not in a mean way, but not completely welcoming either. More of a mutual kind of curious yet cautious kind of thing. At least it’s an effort she told herself to make her not feel so guilty for sounding so stern and rude. Then she reminded herself that she had to be, this was her home, family, and pack members she was being watchful for. And more importantly her alphas. She turned her mind back to the fea, who would never know she was just silently at war with herself, for she gave no hint of it with her eyes, that had stayed locked upon her. Would she be accepted or chased away? Her actions will make that decision she thought as she waited for a reply, knowing only a few seconds had passed since her words.
