The young dragon stalked along the river in the brush, frozen foliage silently brushing along his slick black scales. Piercing red eyes searched around, their slit pupils focusing on one thing at a time in quick succession as he moved. He let out a steaming breath, clearing his none so he might take in that scent once more. And as he refilled, there it was again, that delicious smell of a soul he'd been tracking since he'd wandered in upon the Wild River.

Souls... They were so much easier to smell after they'd left the body, and therefore that much more appetizing. And this one was fresh and warm with vengeance, if he was scenting correctly. He had yet to taste hatred, or vengeance, and wondered with astounding curiosity what their flavor was. But he should have his answer soon enough, as the soul was making its way right for him

Black scaled lips lifted over long, sharp fangs as the spirit emerged from the other side of the bushes. Oh, she wouldn't even know what happened. Just cease to exist, all in one breath. The Soul Eater dragon took in a long breath, her wispy form sucked into his nostrils like the fumes from a cooling pie on the windowsill. With a soft chutting growl, the dragon snapped in at the ghost, though it wasn't quite necessary, as she disappeared into his body without a sound.

Vengeance tasted like blood, coppery and smooth as silk. Quite delectable.
