Freebies are often granted to "all active characters". A character is considered active if it has made an IC post within the last 2 weeks. Posts made after the freebie was posted do not count.
swearing in subject lines

swearing in subject lines is not allowed, i'm afraid.
swearing includes spelling out the swearword and also censoring the swearword. if you have to censor it then it shouldn't be in your subject line.
so f***, b@*$! b.a.s.t.a.r.d etc aren't allowed anymore than the actual words are.
if you have one of those as a subject please change it, thanks.
i appreciate that this rule is a little annoying for people, but the alternatives are:
1. we kick all the minors off the site and refuse to allow any more to join.
2. we run the risk of you or me getting prosecuted for exposing minors to harmful material. roleplayers HAVE been prosecuted for this by parents of minors.
i don't think it's too much to ask to keep your subjects clean and put a warning at the top of unclean posts, especially if it saves you hiring a lawyer. there's really no need for the whole "if you don't like it, don't read it" either - a simple warning about what the post contains is enough.
