those of you who were here wayyyy back in version 1 may remember that i had a "site stat analyser", and when the site got the target number of visitors everyone got free points. then for version 2, we switched hosts to awardspace and i lost my amazing site stat analyser.
BUTTT i was mucking around on our new host (hostica) a while ago and i found a new site stat analyser (!!) which is tremendously exciting... if i could figure it out. i think i've kinda worked it out now. sorta. i've got stats from the 6th of jan right up to today on literally everything from traffic to visitors to hits to what freakin' country people are from and blahhh don't understand most of it :D i'm going to go by visitors because i understand that word, and because hits get driven up by mad clicking syndrome.
so, these are our visitor stats since the 6th --
6th: 48
7th: 124
8th: 107
9th: 84
10th: 75
11th: 60
so. 124 visits in one day, wow. +5 points to all active characters for that ;)
also another +5 to all active characters, because of this stat on the hits --
6th: 1104
7th: 1808
8th: 2992
9th: 3969
10th: 1188
11th: 1234
:D
so here's the deal.
every time our visitor stats hit 100, all active characters (have posted in the last 2 weeks) receive +5 points.
then, for every +25 visitor hits on top of the original 100, you get an additional +5 points. so if the stats are 125 you get +10 to all active chars, if they're 150 you get +15 to all active chars, etc. i'll let you know if you get points from this board =]
i can also see from these stats our referrers (people who click the link to shaman from another site). obviously the biggest one of these by a mile is boards2go, followed by shamanrpg.net. there's a few from our twitter and facebook accounts too... but one of the top referrers is our sister site, moonstone! :D just thought i'd share.
