Several miles north of town is a stretch of lowlands that border the edge of Requiem River. Filled with mainly Swamp Oaks and Silver Maples, this area is avoided by Atroe City’s ‘upperclass’. With an understaffed police force, the area isn’t heavily monitored by the authorities. And with deeply-rutted mud roads, trucks are about the only vehicles that can successfully navigate this dismal terrain.

Gravemind remained asleep, apparently lifeless, until about 15 minutes later when Black Plaque was probably far away. He woke up, dizzy and weak, and looked up at Jaylen. "Am I dead?" Those were his only words. He couldn't manage saying anything else.
