The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Can You Trust? (Beowulf)

Firestorm was wondering around the territory a little. Her pace was slower than usual, but that was due to her belly being more swollen then what she was used to. However, upon sight no one would guess she was pregnant. Since Beowulf's coma she had been almost nothing but bones and skin. If anyone saw her, they would probably just assume her weight had come back, and it had, but there was more to it then that. Nobody knew that she was going to give birth to pups soon, nobody but her. Firestorm had done her best to avoid everyone, even at meetings, for she had wanted her mate Beowulf to know first. She hadn't seen him in awhile, and she was worried for him, more so than what she would admit to him. From what she knew males didn't like it when you thought they needed to be watch, and she knew Beowulf didn't need to be fussed over, but she would always worry for him. Especially since she almost lost him to that damn overgrown cat.. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to tell him about the pups, especially after everything he had been through recently. The stress might just be too hard on him, and she didn't want to add to it. He was still regaining his strength, and she wasn't going to have him over do it. She feared for him more than she had anyone else before. It was new to her, but she was growing used to it. Firestorm didn't want to push him over the edge, but she also didn't want him to think she was trying to hide it from him either. In all honesty she wasn't sure which way she should take...It was all so confusing to the grey femme.

A sigh came from the grey coated fea as she came to a stop, her paws sore from randomly walking around aimlessly, never straying too far from the trail. She knew she was due soon, every time she moved she could feel the pups inside of her squirming, not much longer she told herself, possibly even today. Excitement and fear coursed through her, she wanted to be a mother, especially to Beowulf’s pups, but she was worried too. Worried something was going to go wrong, that Beowulf would be accept, so many horrible thoughts. Laying down she began to clean her coat, her eyes looking to her stomach every now and again. Kicks and feeling bodies move around inside of her had become second nature already to her. In fact she enjoyed it, knowing that she would soon be a mother, even though doubt had come from her. Could I handle this she wondered for a moment again. Even though this was her first pregnancy, instincts had already started to kick in. The Delta female had already claimed a den in the terra, deciding that she didn't want to leave the safety of the pack, nor did she want to feel like she was deserting her home by going to the mating dens to give birth. The den she choose was tucked away, secluded except for a single trial, that was seldom use, where grass flowers and other small vegetation had begun to grow back. It had been tight and small, but Firestorm had simply dug it out more, to accommodate how she wanted it to be. Beowulf had seemed to disappear, and she was wondering if he had returned to his homelands for a short time again for some reason, but she couldn’t be sure where he was. She missed him so much, after just seeing that she wasn’t going to lose him, he had up and left, and she wouldn’t tell him but it had upset her. Maybe she was getting a little emotional with her pregnancy, but he had better be here soon, or else she wouldn’t have him around when the pups were born. The idea tore at her heart, and she hoped he would be back in time.

Her mind was starting to drift to making an attempt to call for her mate when the first contraction rippled through her body, pain flashed through her body, causing tears to prickle in her emerald orbs. She tensed her muscles against the pain, and once it steadied out she began to rise to her paws, so that once she took her first step the pain had almost completely gone. Her pace wasn’t hurried, more so she wouldn’t harm the pups inside of her, as she headed for the den as fast as she dared. Moving along the tail covered with vegetation life, she realized that she hadn’t called to the one wolf she needed. Beowulf. As she reached the very small clearing that was around her den, she paused at the entrance. Bracing herself, she went through another contraction, which seemed to never stop, and raised her maw to the sky. The howl was loud at first before it lowered shortly to carry across the lands. The message had called for Beowulf, and there had been urgency to it, and him alone. She was nervous and agitated enough, that she didn’t want no one else around. It was either going to be her and Beowulf when the pups arrived, or just her, if her mate hadn’t heard her call. She prayed to everything possible that he had though. Firestorm moved in to the den, the surrounding walls somewhat comforting as she paced around the small enclosure some what, her eyes darting to the small pool in the corner.

Her guess was that there must have been a hole above somewhere, that had gotten covered or something at one point, but before that rain had caused her a little blessing. It was small though, she had to admit, but it would save her a immediate journey away from her babies, and she wasn’t sure she even wanted to leave them for a second. All she needed now was the comfort of Beowulf, to know that he was here for her, and she knew she would be fine. The pups would be fine, everything would go okay. He would put her mind at ease for sure, so he needed to be here. Before long he will be, for he had heard the howl she told herself, and for some reason she just knew he would. All she would have to do is wait, and try to be patient, which was something she had never been good at. Realizing that the first pup was starting to come, she broke out of her thoughts to lay upon the ground, as she gave a push through her body. The grey duchess did her best to ignore the pain, when she thought of the bundles of joy she would soon be taking care of.

When the first pup came, she brought the limp body closer to her, her tongue rasping strongly across the form, knowing it would bring life. Breaking the sac almost immediately this was, she watched the male pup breathe as she cleaned him up. He was a multicolored wolf, taking after his father, with light shades on his back and face, that lightened to white as they went down it seemed. His eyes were close, like any of her other pups to be born, so she didn’t know what color they were. Amulet she thought as his name, my son. Once she was positive he was okay, she nudged him to the curve of her belly, positive he would begin to suckle. Besides her attention had been brought to the next pup, and through the same process she found out this one was a female pup. She was a silver color with a possible white underbelly and throat, she’d have to wait and see. Fallon, a beautiful little girl. Again, she made sure that this pup was breathing fine before she moved her next to her brother to nurse as well. With the arrival of the next pup, she knew this one was her last, simply at the fact that her contractions had stopped. There were none left, and for that she was slightly relieved. The last pup was black with a lightly white tanned leg. After she cleaned the final pup, another female, she realized that these three bundles of joy were hers to take care of. Looking to the last born she realized she hadn’t named her yet. It took her only one more glance before a name came. Lilith, my darling baby. All of them were her babies. Her’s and Beowulf‘s. She just watched them suckle, intense love and protection in her eyes.
